Did I mention the beer? It seemed bloody good yesterday. We traversed several bars during the day and were exceedingly proud to have "The Heritage"...as were the maoris, chinese and South Africans we met on our travels. No signs of aggression or normal bar bullshit anywhere.OOPs,and Canadians, sorry Daniel!!
Nothing better than talking to a short-arse Chinese/Kiwi leprechaun..hahahaha!! And the little dancing girls were magic. And the bands...good to see the Shenanigans still exist! Must go,the tears are making it too hard to see the keyboard, beghora!!!!!!!!!

Nice people, scenery, cityscape, beaches, animals
Cool things to do, rainbows end, bunjy jumping, lugeing, caving, mountain climbing, wicked water rapids, awesome culture not just the maori, great humour, not racist, great museums, larnachs castle, hot springs, mud pools, gondolas, international antarctic centre, virgin land, unique animals plants and fauna, great diversity of people, great fishing spots, great wine and wine tours, wideopen spaces and beautiful landscapes only minutes from busy exiting citys and heaps more. Come for a visit and find out but be careful because a lot of tourists never want to leave when they come here so you may want to check the housing market both in your country and NZ before you come over. I myself am from Aussie then Germany.

Disagree with some of the things above, Rainbows end, the only so called "amusement park" in new zealand sucks balls, the nz culture is virtually non-existant, or if anything it is based around drinking ie: sitting in a pub drinking and watching rugby, or sitting around having a bbq (drinking obviously included). Maori culture is overrated.
The people are NOT nice for the most part and there is alot of racism, whether its towards maoris, or jealousy towards Europeans and Americans, Asian people probibly cop the worst of it though. The citys are an architectural disaster, and the weather is not too great alot of the time apart from maybe two months during the summer.
On the plus side, the beaches are decent and there is a fair ammount of things to do outdoors, rock climbing caving etc as covered above.
