Another reason to Cheer for President Obama!!!

Right Power!!!!

Here is some real news for O'Reilly, which of course he totally ignored, because it shows the economy is improving, and it also shows his spin that Obama and his liberal policies are ruining the economy and the country are wrong.

WASHINGTON -- The number of Americans seeking unemployment aid fell last week to the lowest level in five years, evidence that employers are cutting fewer jobs and may step up hiring.

The Labor Department said Thursday that weekly unemployment benefit applications dropped 5,000 to a seasonally adjusted 330,000. That's the fewest since January 2008.

The four-week average, a less volatile measure, fell to 351,750. That's also the lowest in nearly five years.

Fewer applications would suggest the job market is improving. "Encouraging news on the U.S. jobs front, even when you remove all of the noise," said Jennifer Lee, an economist at BMO Capital Markets.

Applications are a proxy for layoffs. They have fluctuated between 360,000 and 390,000 for most of last year. At the same time, employers added an average of 153,000 jobs a month. That's just been enough to slowly push down the unemployment rate, which fell 0.7 percentage points last year to 7.8 percent.

There have been other positive signs for the economy and job market.

The once-battered housing sector is recovering, which is boosting construction and home prices. Home builders started work in 2012 on the most new homes in four years. And sales of previously occupied homes reached their highest level in five years last year.

In December, the economy gained 30,000 construction jobs -- the most in 15 months. And economists expect construction firms to add more jobs this year as the housing recovery strengthens.

Patrick Newport, an economist at IHS Global Insight, forecasts that construction companies will add 140,000 jobs this year, up from a meager 18,000 in 2012.

The number of people continuing to claim benefits is also falling. There were nearly 5.7 million people receiving unemployment aid in the week ended Jan. 5, the latest data available. That's down from almost 5.9 million in the previous week.

But you will not know any of this if you watch the O'Reilly Factor for your news, because he ignores any good economic news that makes President Obama look good, just as he ignores all the good stock market news that makes President Obama look good.

Dunno - but since it really doesn't communicate much about the TRUE state of the economy, it matters little whether Fox or anyone else reported it.

The number of Americans age 16 or older who decided not to work or even to seek a job increased by 8,332,000 to a record 88,839,000 in President Barack Obama’s first term, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.…

The increase in Americans opting out of the labor force during Obama’s first term resulted in a decrease in the labor force participation rate from 65.7 percent in January 2009, the month Obama was first inaugurated, to 63.6 percent in December 2012, the latest month reported. Before Obama took office, the labor force participation rate had not been as low as 63.6 percent since 1981, the year President Ronald Reagan took over from President Jimmy Carter.…

Got that? WORST SINCE JIMMY CARTER.

And the mindless and unsustainable spending, spending, spending continues - red ink as far as the eye can see from this incompetent amateur and his progressive leftist enablers.

Wait! It gets worse. More reasons to BOO the reign of this incompetent amateur narcissist ...

When our only hope of salvaging Obama's continuing fiscal and economic train wreck is doing everything, however ideologically repugnant to Progressive big-government statists and leftists, to spur economic GROWTH, the economy SHRANK last quarter.

The U.S. economy posted a stunning drop of 0.1 percent in the fourth quarter, defying expectations for continued anemic growth:

And the nation continues to careen towards epic bankruptcy, as even after Obama's "fiscal cliff" deal, the nation remains on a path to debt 200% of GDP.

Here's a vision of our fiscal and economic future at the hands of Obama and tax-and-spend big-government liberal enablers:

Stop your juvenile partisan puling.

I have moved on. You clearly have not.

I'm demanding a course reversal and radically improved performance from the current Administration and Congress - REGARDLESS of Party.

Why are you so ready to accept abject incompetence and the disastrous fiscal and economic performance of the current Administration and Congress?

Elections have consequences. Now stop whining, eat your peas, and PAY YOUR OBAMATAXES!

Another reason to cheer for President Obama!!!

Right Power!!

The Dow Jones industrial average climbed above 14,000 for the first time since the Great Recession.

The index rose as high as 14,000.97 in early trading. The index last traded above 14,000 in October 2007.

The Dow has gained 6.7 percent since the start of the year.

A budget deal, struck at the start of the year in Washington, that allowed the U.S. to avoid the "fiscal cliff" was the catalyst for a January rally. Investors then pushed stocks higher amid optimism that the housing market is maintaining its recovery and that the jobs market is slowly healing.

The index has more than doubled since falling to close at low of 6,547.05 March, 3, 2009 after the Great Recession.

Let's just cheer!!!

Fully 60 percent of Americans have a favorable impression of Obama in the new poll, up slightly from October but a clear shift in opinion from an election year in which his ratings hovered in the mid-to-low 50s. And by 39 percent to 26 percent, the president now has more “strongly” positive ratings than strongly negative reviews, breaking a two-year stretch in which intense opposition was on par with (or higher than) intense support.

Obama’s inaugural address earned fewer positive marks and appears to have served mainly as a pep rally, with raving reviews from supporters and plenty of yawns from his opponents. While the speech drew twice as many cheers as jeers — 51 percent approved while 24 percent disapproved — a quarter of Americans had no opinion on the speech. More than eight in 10 Democrats approved of Obama’s second inaugural, but at least three in 10 Republicans and independents have no reaction at all.

Whatever the reactions to the speech, Obama’s general likability has improved across a variety of constituencies, including a wavering base and the political middle. Obama’s favorable ratings have climbed by double digits since last year among liberals, racial minorities and people under age 40. Among each group, at least two-thirds now see Obama positively.

The economy makes Obama look good? Funny, because the Labor Department announced on Friday that U.S. unemployment increased to 7.9% in January, from 7.8% in December. Obama promised that it would be down to 5% or less at the end of his first term. Looks like another promise not kept, despite spending trillions on a failed stimulus, and seeing the federal deficit rise to almost $17 trillion since he took office.

Also the number of Americans in the workforce is the same as in 1981, despite an increase in the U.S. population, which means that millions of Americans are no longer even looking for work.

Anyone who thinks the U.S. economy is doing well under Obama is delusional.
