Girl was wrong no doubt, BUT live it to the highest paid perverts in law enforcement, The Suffolk County (Mafia) Police. If people realized the kind of crap that goes on with these overpaid morons, BUT then again from reading Newsday it seems that the smart people have left LI.

This is crazy, this piece of trash should be thanking the cop for not arresting her! Absolute nonsense...she'll get whats coming to her, just wait till she gets busted for her next crime.

If it were my daughter, I'd tell her to thank her lucky stars she wasn't arrested and I wouldn't BRAG to anyone that my daughter is a thief. I'd hope the humiliation would make her regret her actions. Bad parenting and liberal minded morons are ruining this country. All anyone ever HOPES for these days is a lawsuit. It's despicable. The cop didn't rough her up or put her in a choke hold. Mom and daughter should both go to jail for stupidity and greed, and all the people who sympathize with them should go right along with them. Our society doesn't need this kind of thinking.

According to the article, "Negron and four friends had gone into DOTS Fashion on Middle Country Road on Saturday to pick out an outfit for a party that night. None of them had money,.."

so they didn't go to pick out an outfit. They went to STEAL! Trash from Mastic and probably animal trash at that. She gets no sympathy here and anyone who feels bad must be raising little animals themselves. If this was my kid, and it would never be, I would kick the living daylights out of her when she got home instead of being "outraged" at this cop.

I cannot believe what I'm reading here!! Yes Negron stole the clothes; yes it was the officers’ duty to recover the stolen items.
But come on!!! The officer should have called for a female officer who should have escorted Negron into the dressing room were she then would have been ordered to remove the stolen clothes.
This pig (no pun indented) got his rocks off watching her strip. He is a disgrace to the force and is the reason so many people distrust the police.
I highly doubt that. Did it ever occur to you that the little skank is lying?

Maybe her mom should do next what that mom in California did, make her walk around wearing a sign that says "Don't trust me, I am a thief." Got what you deserved. Hope you learned a lesson. Kudos to the cop who taught her what her parents failed to teach, shame and morals.

They went shopping WITHOUT ANY MONEY. If I was her I'd rather take the clothes of in public than get arrested. I can't believe the THEIF is complaining. And her mother has some nerve.

I guess she'd rather be arrested than take her clothing off. Although, in the future I'll bet she'll do plenty of both.

Are you kidding, you should be lucky you weren't arrested and deported. This is the problem with the world these days, if that were me my parents would have kicked my arse, and told the Police Officer Thank You.

I have daughters, and if they did something as stupid as this, and the cop reacted this way, I'd say they learned an important lesson, namely not stealing. She should also be thankful that she wasn't arrested.

Shouldn't have stolen the clothes to begin with. If you would have PAID for them, it wouldn't have happened. That's what you get for being a thief.

Hey Mother of the theiving brat bastard child....hope you're reading these comments.

Why don't you go discipline your child instead of looking for a payday. I hope you lose miserably and wind up having to pay the officer's legal fees on top of that.

You piece of trash. I can't wait to read about your karma in an upcoming issue of Newsday.
