We'll here we go again from the nations favorite nanny state mayor who thinks he knows what's best for and who will impose his agenda on you.

So far it's been those evil 32 oz sodas, those no calorie listing menus, those evil bottle feeding mothers, those "a hole" gun owners, those pesky people who didn't want marathoners running past dead bodies, those people who look like they have to be stopped and frisked. And now it's your level of pain(intolerance)-well eXXXXCCUUSSSSEEEEE MEEEeee

The sudafed laws are bad enough. Like the limitations and id requirements on sudafed really are working as are many other LAWS-ppfffttt.

http://www.utexas.edu/news/2012/01/24/methamp...

To top it off meth use is increasig in New York state itself. So a city and state are experiencing increased addictions with laws on the books including sudafed limitations.

And true to form in THE nanny state they are asking for federal money to combat illegal drug activity in their state.

suicide by hydro? ridiculous. not saying it couldn't be done, only that it probably wouldn t be done. chronic pain and the ensuing depression when untreated is much more likely!
Honey_1 wrote:
And in today's news....suicide rates are up due to pain patients being in excruciating pain.
Around the country heroin use is on the rise!! All those pesky pain patients, oooppps junkies I mean are crawling in the gutter to score!!
Now, back to our regular programing./sarcasm
Now I'm being serious....several years ago I was reading on the DEA site (I've been fighting the Dea's involvement in my medical care for years) and they were listing reasons people OD. You are gonna love this....they had on their site that women between the ages of 30-40 want hydros so they can use them to commit suicide. I haven't been able to find it on there lately, but, this kind of attitude is completely ignorant and indicative of the DEA's agenda.

This is the same Bloomberg that changed the rules so that he could get a 3rd term as mayor.

Since he has enough money to buy medium-size countries, I guess it's all about the power trip and the attention.

He might be a great businessman...but as a human being, he's an abject failure.

IWHO.

I heard that too...if that's true, what an audacious and narcissistic thing to try and do, extend term limits because the country needs you more than you need the country.

It peeved me so much when Bloomberg saw it is his almighty interest to extend term limits and put himself above all others. What happened to being a public servant???

And the secret service thing...are you serious?? While I understand the need to protect those who may have intimate knowledge of our country, in this case the POTUS, I do not think they deserve secret service protection on the tax payer's dime. I really am getting annoyed at out politicians.

You guys know that Obama changed it so that all presidents back to 1997 will have lifetime secret service protection.....
Also, I read where Obama is also trying to change the 22 amendment that prevents a president from serving more than two terms. He wants to serve a third term. I'll have to look this up again....I forget where I saw it.
I think ex-presidents should have life-time protection.

That's just me.

Didn't hear about the 3rd term thing. That's just not happening.

I can respect the POTUS having life-tome protection, especially given that they hold and are intimate with the secrets of the USA. I just am so annoyed at the rate of spending and the inability to be responsible. I'm not a fiscal nut, our times are just a new extreme.
I am probably annoyed with our politicians more than anything, as those who have material information as to the inner workings of our government need to be protected...I may have to think on this one... lifetime body guards I thought would be a more practical idea...

secret service requires more logistics and allocation of finances than assigned private bodyguard is my line of thinking and the two are very different (before anyone says they are the same) but the more I write this the more I am realizing that the POTUS is deserving...just ranting I guess and thinking with emotion from our current situation. :)

I don't remember what year the lifetime protection ended, but the ex's had protection for 10 years after leaving office. Obama changed it for all presidents back to 1997 and their children until the kids are 16.
I think the ones got by just fine that had the 10 year protection. No one was killed.
Besides, Obama wants rid of guns. Can't be protected if they can't have guns.
Oh wait!!! They will have guns....it's just us peons that will get our guns taken.
actually ex presidents already had lifetime. It is vice presidents who don't.As far as a third term why not I am sure our dictator in chief will find a way.Maybe even make Blomberg his Nanny State director lol

This is just another example of "BIG GOVERNMENT" LIBTARDS trying to save the USA from itself. F U C K I N G Libtards have all the answers -- They think they know whats good for you and I when in reality the only thing they're really doing is putting more and more restrictions on our lives and take more and more of our liberties from us on a daily basis. It all starts at the White House with Obama his wife and his Cabinet of CZARS. Yae I said CZARS. They want total control and will go to any lenghth to get it

You think your life of freedom is not a jeapordy think again and sooner rather than later a revolution is going to come to this country. I dont want to see this but I can see it coming and the Gun Control/s that Obama is going to put an executive order on is going to be the begining of the end. States Many have already petitioned to White House to suceed from this union and Obama has denied it. You think your taxes aren't going to rise and only the "RICH" are going to pay Think again. This Govt isn't a democracy any more and Obama uses the Constitution as a piece of toilet paper. Wake Up People Please Wake up and look around research this president and his Communist up bringing it's all out there and It's his own words

I was a U.S. Marine for four years, and was injured pretty bad.I worked with my doctors and rebuilt my body and mind to the point I was able to become a police officer.
Not because i have a power trip, but I wanted to protect people who could not do so themselves.
I was hurt many times over an 8 year span,to the point I was medically disabled.Im not complaining about any of that.I knew the risks, but believed I was born to serve others in need.
Hers's my problem,im in 24/7 horrible pain,I do my best not to complain or say much, although from time to time ive had to go to the E.R. because the pain has me on the edge and i get treated like a junkie trying to get high.WHO IN THE ARE THE BLOOMBERGS OF THE WORLD TO SAY HOW MUCH OF A PAIN KILLER I NEED? I see my pain doctor and follow all the rules. But the rules are getting to the point that trying to live ANY kind of life is next to impossible, and they want to make it harder??? WTF? After 10 yrs of chronic pain i understand why people are trying anything they can to get some relife. That does not make us junkies or bad people! We need to stand up to these people and let them know we have a real medical condition, that needs the right treatment. Not lack of help because of the small percent of drug abusers!
