We have groups that are private to guide people. We can also tell you where to sign up, like the NY state registry.

sincerely,
Joan
I and many others are on fb too. I will find the group and give you the link you need.

We don't conduct searching on topix. We are trying to get the word out.

You may want to think about doing DNA test. The place to join to learn about dna is
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/adoptionDNA

Many people are doing that to find the lost family members.

Many adoptees are finding that way. People who do Genealogy are recommending it. Thousands are doing it. So you can do yours and see who else did theirs.

Hi Lori,
I wrote to Stanley Michaelman's second wife after he recently passed (this was in 2009). I was shocked when she called me at first to say that she didn't have anything to do with her late husband's business affairs. When I requested that she turn the adoption records over to the state so adoptees could at least obtain their medical information, she said that she had burned his records. You can reach me at Marnie Goodfriend FB.

Hey I'm 32 years old Born in Kentucky in 1982. I did a DNA test and it proved that I am 50% Italian, 25% Portuguese and 25% Argentina. My adopted parents told me they adopted me from Stanley Michelman. I want to find my parents

Stanley B Michaelman, was a fraud, a liar and a truly evil man. I was 21 and pregnant. Already raising a child alone. I stupidly fell in love with a man I thought was wonderful. A few months later, after fat lips and black eyes I came to realize he wasn't. About the same time I took a pregnancy test. Finding out I was pregnant was bittersweet. I wanted my baby. But there was no way I could raise 2 babies while working in a fast food restaurant and not really having a home as I had left my boyfriend. I was so scared. I, however curse the day I read the ad in Newsday about a couple that were well off, and desperately wanted a child. I called the number provided in the ad. The woman was thrilled to speak to me and asked if I could call her lawyer. Stanley Michaelman. I did and he was so nice and understanding. He told me how lovely the couple was. That they lived in Roslin and had everything they could dream of except a child. He even had me speak to a counselor in Nyack to be sure this was a good decision for me and my unborn child. I think her name was Leia. After the adoption I had 2nd thoughts. I called the number of the people who adopted my baby. I also called Michaelman and he was entirely cold and abrupt while telling me the adoption was finalized. Years later I found out he lied. I pray that my baby went to a loving family. I know for sure that that evil man didn't care. That he sold my baby. It's unbelievable that he did this to so many young and frightened women. Hell is too good for him.

My adoption experience with Stanley Michelman began in Texas in 1986. I placed my son with a single, divorced, widowed woman with two older children. I was with a lawyer in Texas but never met Mr. Michelman. I have never received adoption papers from anyone and yet it was 30 years ago. How do I go about getting them? Thanks.
