I have a MODERN car with modern brakes, engine, Tires, safety systems plus many many years of driving expirience and was "speeding" on an open road in New York with no other traffic. A 747 jet airliner would have absolutely no problem making an emergency landing on this section of HWY I was "speeding" on.

The police officer did cut me a break on the speed number and I dont think he has any Idea of the nightmare called the N.Y.S DMV.
This aint about police, we need them.

This system is based on politics and MONEY , all common sence is gone. These BLOODSUCKERS in the NYS DMV are relentless parasites. Every hoop jumped threw leads to ten more hoops. They are rude on the phone and cold heartless people.

I hope Karma works and these people become as miserable as they make others.

You must not have too much DMV experience. If you had not done too much wrong you should save up the driver improvement program for when you're really fucked. For example, lets say you get a speeding ticket. That sucks. You'll get a break from the officer if it's your first one in a while. Cops are good to you if you aren't a repeat violator unless you're a colored fellow. Now lets say you also get in a fender bender and you now have insurance to answer to. And on top of that some jerk tailgates you and you get a red light photo ticket. Its still okay, you're not so screwed. But let's say you now get pulled over again and you're speeding again. The cop won't give you another break if all the past few things happen within 2-3 years. So now you take a ticket for speeding, go to motor vehicles court, plead to a lower offense, and then hit the DMV for the driver improvement program and get a break on insurance and some points off in exchange for jumping through hoops. There's no reason to do all that crazy DMV shit just for a simple speeding ticket. But sometimes you have some bad luck behind the wheel and you need to do it to keep things in check. Be careful too, because sometimes after the DIP you are placed on driving probation and any moving violation will get you suspended.
