The Honky Tonk Man asks:

Elliot Rodger, do you want a blonde with your whine and cheese?

Authorities Saturday identified Elliot Rodger, 22, as the gunman of the deadly drive-by shooting near the University of California, Santa Barbara where he was a student in an area college. Rodger apparently had a score to settle with the student population in the popular college town.

Six people were killed and seven more were injured. Although Rodger did not survive the gun battle with police, he lives in infamy on YouTube in a video titled “Elliot Rodger’s Retribution” where he explains that he is wreaking vengeance on the “hot girls of Santa Barbara” because women had been rejecting him since he hit puberty 8 years ago.

“For the last eight years of my life, since I hit puberty, I’ve been forced to endure an existence of loneliness, rejection and unfulfilled desires, all because girls have never been attracted to me. Girls gave their affection and sex and love to other men, never to me,” he expresses. In the video, Rodger also expressed his anger about still being a virgin despite being “the perfect guy.”

“I don’t know why you girls have never been attracted to me, but I will punish you all for it,” he says while sitting behind the wheel of his BMW.“College is the time when everyone experiences those things such as sex and fun and pleasure. In those years I’ve had to rot in loneliness, it’s not fair.”

Elliot Rodger, who was a student a Santa Barbara City College, uploaded several videos in recent months about how lonely he was and how women did not want him despite his flashy and expense outward appearance.

According to Forbes, Elliot also aired his frustrations about his lack of female companionship on forums for bodybuilders and anti-pick-up artists. The latter forum led a Daily Kos writer to blame the “men’s rights movement” for influencing Rodger into “psychopathy and murder,” pointing to the fact that Rodger had subscribed to three different YouTube channels that gave advice on how to pick up women and be an “alpha male.”“Rather than seeking mental help for some obvious issues, he sought out the Men’s Rights Movement,” writes OllieGarkey.“He internalized their hatred of women.”

Judging by his social media footprint, the disturbed student clearly was a loner who had a problem with blending in with the young, hip college town where he lived. Rodger’s Facebook page is full of selfies and photos of his rich but lonely life. There are photos of him, by himself, flying first class and attending a private Katy Perry concert, and with his parents, at the Hunger Games premiere in 2012, where his father was the assistant director of the film. Rodger’s friends are seemingly absent from his photos and make few comments; he likes many of his own photos, and is usually the only one to do so. Judging by his Facebook page, the disturbed student was obsessed with himself and with putting his wealthy lifestyle on-display. However, very few seemed to take notice.

The Honky Tonk Man says you can find them in in Mississippi.crying

over their primary lost

Some conservatives aren't happy that their preferred candidate, state Sen. Chris McDaniel (R) lost to Sen. Thad Cochran (R-MS) in the runoff of the GOP primary for U.S. Senate in Mississippi. Many tea party types are openly speculating foul play and that Democrats and black voters were involved. Take Rush Limbaugh who wondered if Cochran's campaign slogan in Mississippi over the last few days was "Uncle Toms for Thad."

"I wonder what the campaign slogan was in Mississippi the past few days,'Uncle Toms for Thad'? Because I thought it was the worst thing you could do as an African American, vote for a Republican. The worst thing you could do," Limbaugh said on Wednesday. "But somehow they were made to believe that voting for old Thad would be fine and dandy. And why? Because they were told Thad's done a lot for black people in Mississippi. Must be the first time they were told that."

Cochran's turnaround victory in the race on Tuesday was immediately met with criticism by McDaniel and tea partiers over his strategy of reaching out to not only Republicans but also Democrats and African-Americans, a move that dismayed tea partiers but isn't illegal under Mississippi's open primary laws.

When Cochran was named the winner, McDaniel himself openly questioned the results, and said "there is something a bit strange, there is something a bit unusual about a Republican primary that's decided by liberal Democrats."

"Before this race ends we have to be absolutely certain that the Republican primary was won by Republican voters," McDaniel also said.

But others were more direct and pointed in their criticism of Cochran. Matt Drudge, for instance, posted a link to a New York Times story with the line "Black vote used." Another link on Drudge said "The flier 'that got Cochran elected'..." and linked to a National Review blog post on Wednesday reporting that a flyer that had allegedly been circulated in heavily black precincts of Mississippi that was titled: "The Tea Party intends to prevent blacks from voting on Tuesday."

The Honky Tonk Man Says you can find them in Mississippi hanging

out with the crybaby and sore loser,Chris McDaniel

Two days after losing in Mississippi’s US Senate Republican primary runoff election, State Senator Chris McDaniel is still refusing to concede to the winner, incumbent Senator Thad Cochran. McDaniel and his supporters (like Sarah Palin) claim that the election results are illegal due to Democratic voters crossing over to vote in the Republican primary runoff. They point to Mississippi election law, which states that voters who participate in a primary election should intend to support the candidate they vote for in the general election. Also, voters who participated in the Democratic primary are barred from voting in another party’s runoff election.

While appearing on the Mark Levin Show Wednesday night, McDaniel said that Cochran received 35,000 Democratic votes on Tuesday. Apparently, he is counting all of the extra votes Cochran got compared to the primary election. Of course, McDaniel conveniently ignores the extra votes he got himself. He also stated as fact that a number of these voters participated in the Democratic primary, so their votes should be cast aside. On top of that, McDaniel feels that a lot of these voters will not support Cochran in the general election this coming November, so more votes should be cast aside.

The Honky Tonk Man says you can find them awaiting trial on

murder charges at the Will County Adult Detention Facility.

The son of a Joliet police officer awaiting trial on murder charges has filed a complaint about conditions at the Will County Adult Detention Facility.

Adam Landerman, 21, is one of four people charged with the grisly slayings of Terrance Rankins and Eric Glover, both 22, at a home in Joliet in 2013. He remains in custody awaiting trial.

Landerman last week filed a 15-count complaint asking a Will County judge to remedy various conditions at the jail.

Among other things, Landerman complains that the towels are too small, the temperature is not properly controlled, the menu is not diverse, barber services are not available and items in the commissary are overpriced.

Landerman cites excerpts from the Illinois administrative code regarding county jail standards. He also uses the code to argue other services, such as current educational resources, should be provided.

“We’re not a hotel; we’re a jail,” Will County Sheriff’s Deputy Chief Ken Kaupas said.“We treat all of our in-custodies in a fair way.”

Kaupas said he has not seen the complaint, but it would be turned over to the Will County state’s attorney to handle. The issue is scheduled for an initial court date of Aug. 28.

Landerman also complains that rules provided to inmates are vague and that inmates are “routinely penalized for rule violations which are completely taken out of context.”

Landerman, who is being represented by a public defender on the murder charges, also contends the jail does not provide shaving cream for inmates who are indigent and cannot afford to buy it from the commissary. The complaint also states the jail does not provide breakfast after 6:30 a.m. and that lunch is served too early.

Joshua Miner, 26, of Joliet, and Bethany McKee, 20, of Shorewood, also are in jail awaiting trial on murder charges in the Joliet slayings. Alisa Massaro, 20, of Joliet, recently pled guilty to lesser charges of robbery and concealing a homicide and agreed to testify against the others in exchange for a 10-year sentence.

Authorities have said Glover and Rankins were lured to Massaro’s home on the 1100 block of Hickory Street, where they were allegedly robbed and strangled. Police said robbery was the motive.

Landerman and Miner committed the killings, prosecutors said.

Acting on a tip, police went to the home Jan. 10, 2013, and found Massaro, Landerman and Miner along with the bodies of the victims, officials said.

Authorities described the scene as one of the most horrific they have encountered. Police said the three defendants were continuing to party even as the victims lay dead in the home.
McKee had allegedly left the home earlier and called her father to tell him what had happened. William McKee then alerted Shorewood police, who in turn contacted Joliet police.
