Floral Park: A suburban outpost on city's edge

There seems to be some confusion about Floral Park. Is it in Nassau County or New York City? Is it a suburb or is it an urban center? Well, the answer to both of these questions is yes.

Why did they only talk about the queens side of Floral Park??? The nassau side of Floral Park is so much better and the schools are alot better than the ones in queens!

I lived above a beauty parlor on Tulip Ave in 1981.

Because the Queens side IS better.
District 26 is the best school district in NYC.
Taxes are lower and people are nicer.

Really..Thats sad..They are a family owned business and I don't think they compromise on their quality. It is "the only" best quality chaat food around

i am hoping to open up an indian restaurant shortly,it is very important that we bring our indian culture to floral park and show them the right way to live.americans can learn an awful lot through our ways.once the rest of my family arrives from india i will open up my restaurant.i am also thinking about opening up an indian cultural center to help americans more aware of the problems they cause around the world.floral park will only benefit from the great indian culture.

PLease, don't do us any favors. Why not learn our culture since you are coming to our country and please do us all a favor, don't let them drive!

First of all, please capitalize the word American.
Secondly, my great-grandparents came over to the United States because they wanted a better life for the families. The first English word they learned was ASSIMILATE. I suggest that ALL immigrants coming in to this country now, do the same. That means - learn the language and learn the ways of being an American.
As far as what you say about us 'learning the right way to live,' if the 'right way' is so great in India, then why did you ever come to this country??? We don't care to learn 'your ways.' I suggest you look up the word assimilate and then do it.

Oh... one more thing. Please don't spend money on building an Indian cultural center. Instead, use the money to feed the people in India, so that we don't have to.

i have been looking around floral park village for a place to rent for my new indian culture center.we can have fund raising drives to help more indian people like me come to floral park to teach our learnings and educate the american people.if anyone knows of a place to rent please leave a message.i am hoping to get a place in floral park village or very close to the heart of floral park.
