Now that, as a Gay guy, I can get married in New York City, all I have to do is find someone I even want to marry. There is no one, so far, and that is cool. lol
It's a great Gay Pride weekend for us this way. I was actually hoping the bill would be approved for Gay Pride. Of course, our dear and lovely opponents we will always have with us but we knew that.
I can't take seriously those who ask if marrying your sister or your pet will be next. They don't really think that. No way.
The anti-gay protesters, of course, will be at the parade tomorrow, screaming while red in the face that God hates us. As usual, as the Gay religious groups walk by, they will yell louder and their hateful signs will be raised high over their heads.
The weird thing is that these folks say "God hates the sin, not the sinner." but the still shout "God hates you!" A bit of a contradiction there.
God doesn't hate Gay people. These folks do. I haven't liked everyone I've ever met but hate would be too strong a feeling and, whatever the case, I've always been able to stand on my own two feet and say "I don't like that person." I don't understand people who claim to be devoted to God but blame God for their feelings.
I've known plenty of folks who do the same thing over less controversial things. They'd find a Bible quote to support even the most trivial point as if to say "If you disagree with me, you disagree with God."
I find that rather lame. Try speaking for yourself instead of using the Bible like a weapon.
