When is this cop going to be arrested and charged? He needs to be held to a higher standard, he was being paid by the taxpayers and was sworn to stop crime, so when he participates in criminal activity he not only should be charged, but he should get stiffer sentences.

This is why the DA didn't pursue this too hard in the early stages-'under pressure from police'.

But this is the issue. How many times does the DA work with the police to cover up the misdeeds of one of their officers.

Corrupt cops need to be viewed as corrupt cops and not a working stiff getting a paycheck. It is absolutely correct to hold police to a higher standard.

Sometimes I think they are just used/viewed as mercenaries/henchmen who want "justice" and 'protection' at all costs. This was mob justice which is exactly what the police and courts are there to prevent.

This should be of no surprise. Next time there is a police chase watch the ending very closing as see how a mob or pack of armed police drag out one or two unarmed suspects and slam them to ground and frequently get a few kicks and punches in even though the chase is over and suspect is more than under control/unarmed. There is a big difference between professional caution and an adrenaline filled frenzy of mob justice. This is exactly what happened here-mob justice.

Apparently, these cops run with the criminals on their off hours...there is something wrong with that picture.

Like a doctor sitting back to watch their own child bleed to death and not using their medical knowledge or job skills to apply first aid...or even dialing 911 to get help for them. Would we stand still for that?

The cops should not be playing with the criminals, EVER...not even on the weekends.

Commissioner Kellys' goal is to have the most diverse police department in the world so this gang assault that included his FINEST is no surprise.

Those weren't normal cops you would expect higher standards from, those were New York cops.
