My condolences go out to the family. Mike was such a nice guy with a bright future ahead of him. Let's pray that these cowards are brought to justice fast

This is not a way for anyone to have to die...if only everyone in the world, in the streets, or in the air can find something great and good to do how much happier we could all be. Instead we have to always look ahead or around us to be sure we are safe. As we all hope that they find the culprits that chose to take a young man's life and then hide comes to justice....let me challenge everyone to step out from their grief and find something good to do in Michael's name, for the good of his memory.

Mike - we loved you...you were the life in all our hearts. I will miss you dearly and am so sad for April - she is my baby and you were suppose to be with her and us forever....and some Coward decided for all of us that it was your time to leave. We will remember you always and memories of you are in our hearts forever.

Mike was my closest friend throughout high school. We have shared hundreds of memories and thousands of laughs. This news obviously come as a shock to me as Mike was never the type of person to be involved in ANY violence.
He will certainly be missed.

although the circumstances that lead to your death are still unclear - we have faith that the culprits behind this will be brought to justice.

We don't understand why you where there - but the mystery will unravel soon enough and the cowards that did this will be found.

We all love you and will have you in our hearts forever!!

Mike, I spoke to you on Thursday after months of lost contact. Words are no good for the loss that I feel. You were one of my best buddies, such a silly young man, always laughing and trying to make everyone else laugh. Thank you so much for the friendship that we shared, Mike! Your friendship was and will always be cherished. I already miss you Mike! This was WRONG!!! and I hope whoever did this to you is brought to justice.RIP michael

I knew Mike as well. Very nice man. A true gentleman in every sense of the word.

The "something smells rotten," and "why was he in West Babylon" comments are premature and silly.

Do yyz and "question" know where all of THEIR friends and family are at all times? And what would their reactions be if someone asked after a tragedy to them "Well, what was he doing THERE?"

We don't yet know if he WAS there voluntarily, or dragged there, tossed into the street and shot. OR if he was lost. Or simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The questions you should be asking are "When are we going to finally civilize ourselves?

those comments are neither premature or silly
if he had been pulled over by a cop at 4 am in west babylon and had shown the cop his id with a brooklyn address
the cops FIRST question would be "what are you doing here?"

What kind of a neighborhood do you live in that would have individuals do this kind of thing? If Anyone knew Mike for one second-this would not have happened.

the animal that did this did not know him and if he LIVED in your neighborhood - i wouldn't want that neighborhood "being mine".

something smells rotten in your neighborhood.

The fact of the matter is, is that a life was taken. The life that was taken happens to be a very close friend of mine. It doesn't matter what neighborhood he was at. Mike, you will be missed by your love ones and friends. You will be rememberred in all our hearts forever.

West Babylon is not an all-white neighborhood. It's a quite diverse and desireable place to live. Although it's not crime free, murder is rare.

I have lots of faith in the SCPD for a proper resolution to this sin and crime. Good luck to all his friends and family.
