Regarding the empty rooms....

They should hire teachers and have them teach literacy and grammar as a public service.

They are absolutely a scam , people have came to my mothers apartments numerous times saying that they came from "Raymond's rooms" and said that they paid Raymond money to see the room and we definitely didn't have no vacant rooms , I will try and do something about this . I can't have strangers knocking on this door every week saying the same thing !

Raymond's rooms is not a scam but there are plenty of other services that are. At least Raymond's will work with you until you find a room but other services will take your money, give you a list to work with and a time limit to find a place and then they won't refund your money. You must be careful not to get a room with bad people. I got a room once with a woman who turned out to be an addict and she made my life miserable but on the other hand I've gotten a room from Raymond's with a person who was hardly ever home, was a great person, hardworking and honest. Unfortunately, he gave up his apartment to buy a home. Again, Raymond's Rooms will send you out seeking until you find something. Just don't take the first place you see and when you think you've found a room, check the people out. Some of them can be terrible (no fault of Raymond's Rooms).

'Cause that definitely would make the room seem smaller.

Raymond's Rooms at 207 E 125 Street offered great service to me. if u understand how this works u mostly like it but if u want miracle from people or this service to solve your inner personality issues and housing emotion u r in bad shape Lol.
you pay a fee to get a room. you look at it and like it and take it. or you Dont like it and walk away and he will keep looking for you to look at other rooms until you are satisfied.
what is your problem seriously. u need to tell us the real reason you are writing this negative review. if he took or money and didn't find u a room may b. I used this service in the past. its good.

I went to raymond's room looking for a room for couples. We were told that we have to pay $350 for their fee and the security deposit for the room and when we see a place that we like we can just pay for the week to move in. We were told that there was a large beautiful room in the area that was for rent but it won't be available to see until the next day but there was one in Brooklyn that was available for us to look at that day. When we got to Brooklyn the room was ok but way too small for a couple. We told the person renting to give us a day and we would let her know if we would take it. We waited the next day and saw this BIG BEAUTIFUL ROOM! This place was amazing! We were told that it wasn't quite ready and it would be ready in 2 days for us to move in. This whole process started on a Thursday and we saw the nice room on a Friday. By Saturday night we got a call from the person renting the room letting us know that the room wouldn't be available. No one from raymond's room have been answering the phones since 5pm Thursday when we left there and no one has answered the phone since. We have paid these people $350 dollars told about a room that doesn't seem available and when we spent the last 2 or three days calling to get a new listing for a room no one has been available. I think that we have been ripped off. I should have known better than to do business with three ladies that have a business set up in a Barber Shop on folding tables. It would be nice if I could get my money back but who knows if they will even be there when I go back. All I have to say is buyers beware!

Update: it has now been 5 days since raymond's room service has taken $350 from me and there has been no rooms available to go to. They have not answered their phone or has their business on 116th street even been open. I wish that I could get a refund but I guess I have to wait until they open for business. By then I'm sure that they will play that "I don't remember who you are" game. What a scam!

Have a friend call up and act like he is looking for a room, then set an appointment.
I bet they will be "open" when it comes to possible money comming in.
Then YOU show up at the appointment.

Done.

That'll be $25.
You're welcome.

Make a copy of your receit and go to your local precinct. Put in a police complaint and then take that complaint copy with a copy of other complaints to small claims court and put in a civil suit against them. Also contact the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU and inform them of what is going on. They will read the comments on the site and do a thorough investigation. It will work.
