"He doesn't understand signs,"

A Chinese restaurant owner was viciously mauled by three pit bulls on Sunday when he entered the fenced yard of a Brooklyn home to pass out menus. Xiu Ming Li, 52, was bitten on his legs, arm and head and had an earlobe chewed off in the brutal dog-eat-man encounter. Cops said Li, owner of the Jing Lung Chinese Restaurant on Nostrand Ave. in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens, entered the dogs' nearby domain despite a posted sign warning, "Beware of Dog."

On the stupid idiot that entered the yard. I'd advise the bulldog owner to put a little lock on the gate, though.

Last I'd do is enter a fenced yard when a dog sign is posted. I'd be looking for a dog even without a sign, as I'm kinda a the smart side, ya know. I also look several times for traffic when crossing the fookin road, too.

Guess that's why I'm still alive. Thanks, mom, for teaching me a few things.

"These are my children," she said of the dogs. "They came from the same mother."

Uhh.... dogs that "came from the same mother" are your "children"?

All they order from a Brooklyn Chinese take out is wings with fries, heavy on the hot sauce.

you should know that anytime these dopes stick a menu in your mailbox, it's considered delivered mail without postage and it's subject to federal charges.

you've never owned and loved a dog or a cat. Once you love them, they really do become children. And they require about as much care as a two year old in the case of dogs.

Exactly; if you see a home with a German Shepard or Rottweiler, just walk right in

Ever notice that it's either blacks or Italians who own pitbulls? Then these owners all need to have tattoos and goatees to try and make themselves look even tougher. Makes you wonder just how insecure they all must be.
Many people own bulldogs, but, yes, gangsta types love the bulldog because they're solid and game, and this is why bulldogs are tainted: bad owners.

All bulldogs love their handlers and make excellent house dogs, but require handlers with good sense, responsibility and know how to crate a dog when necessary for safety of people.(dogs love being crated for naps and at night.)

Anyone displaying a "blah blah dog" sign should be required by law to have a locked gate 24/7 that is only unlocked long enough for the occupants of the dwelling to pass through.

I don't mean a latch that only holds the gate in place, I mean a LOCK.

What if a little kid ran in there needing help like a phone for 911 or was bleeding bad? Enough said.

This would not have happened and is proof of the need of this law.

True, but what an American would do in this situation is simply attach the menue to the fence. Like all people, owner of the property would have appreciated the menue, especially if it had coupons.:)

I agree. If someone has to post a "beware of dog" sign then the gates to their property should be locked. We never know who might innocently come into our yard (a child chasing a ball). Those dogs are no less dangerous than a loaded gun and the owner is irresponsible.
