Ya know its funny, as a former Police Officer I feel the pain when a fellow brother falls during the line of duty. I also know that any department with the exception of the NYPD would be out for blood nomatter what the circumstance. The NYPD loves to hang their officer out to dry.... But I have been guilty of driving while tired and pulled over to gather myself and I have been rode up on by Nassau County cops who tell me I cant stop there even after I show my pd ID to them so you cant drive tired but you cant stop to rest. I get told to drive another five miles or ten miles to the next exit or rest stop but what if I try that and doze off like this guy did and then im the one who is criminally negligent..... Its a sad situation for everyone involved, my heart goes out ot all the family members involved.

My husband was a good guy, an amazing man! And he's gone because of someone's neglect and bad choices.

<quoted text>So you're all in favor of irresponsible drivers getting away with vehicular homicide? It's all about being held responsible for your actions. He has to face the music for what he did. As far as the NCPD goes, charging Kaley isn't persecution. He has to answer for what he did in a court of law, and is entitled to a trial by his peers under the Constitution, which guarantees his rights.
At least he can fight the charges and be with his family, unlike the dead officer, who left behind a grieving wife and three sons.
He made a choice not to stop and push himself! And now I have to raise 3 boys alone!

Trumped-up BS charges only brought up after the fact to give the NCPD a reason to persecute.

He killed a man because he made a choice to push himself...he was negligent no matter who my husband was!

He made a poor choice, as a "professional" truck driver to continue on when he was tired. My husband was a good person, an awesome man and my boys have to "move on" without their dad. What if he killed your family member because of his negligence? You have no right to tell me to move on when you haven't walked in my shoes!
