I was at the hospital that night to pick up the man whose pickup was hit by Sal's careening car. My friend is totally traumatized by this event. He's a young 61 but has 3 heart stents. How he survived this accident no one will ever know. But as happy as my family is that our loved one did survive with only some bad cuts and bruises, we are equally saddened by this young man's death. He had many friends at the hospital that night. He was a lucky man in that way. He was and is loved. To Sal's friends and Sal's family, we express our deepest condolences. I lost 2 19-year-old roommates to a car accident in college, and 35 years later I am still shocked and saddened by the loss. This will live with us forever, and with Sal's friends and family as well. God Bless You Sal. You will never be forgotten.

Tammie, I need to apologize for calling you foolish. I should have realized you were just trying to be helpful.
Please understand I'm grieving for my greaseball friend Salvatore and my emotions are running high.
Again, I'm so very sorry.
How cute. Not clever, but let's tag my SN onto a post and make it seem like I had an epiphany.

Sorry, no. Congratulations, none of you (IE, the morons trolling here) apparently have anything good to look forward to in life, or even have anyone that cares about them.

Pat yourselves on the back, way to perpetuate to downward spiral of our already f*cked up society, make Americans seem more selfish, self-centered, and more idiotic than the rest of the world already perceives us as. Way to go.

I was there at the accident. I was behind the Honda Ridgeline when it got hit. I missed getting hit by a fraction of a second. I know the 61 year old gentleman, and other than bruises and soreness, he will thankfully be OK.

When the accident happened and after narrowly being part of it myself, I pulled over and first checked on my friend. When I realized that he was OK, I ran to the other car. I saw Salvatore Gianni immediately after the accident and I am afraid I won't soon forget what I saw.

To say my life passed in front of me in the matter of an instant is an understatement!!!

I am a father of two young children and I can't even imagine what Salvatore Gianni's parents must be feeling right now. Another half a second or so and my children might have been father-less. I can't help but to think of the knock on the door from the police to inform his parents of the tragedy. For those of you that know the family, please let them know that I was there. I feel a deep remorse for what happened. I have tried to make sense, myself for what might have caused the car to come across the highway. It is a disturbing image that I have in my mind when I close my eyes.

Brett T,
Your post is beautifully written. I am the brother in law of the man who was in the Ridgeline, and he talked about you at the hospital. Your presence made a big difference to him. I am sorry you had to see what you did. This was an awful tragedy. I must say too the sheriffs were incredibly sensitive and compassionate. Like us, they too were heartbroken.

did anyone notice that the people that where being the trolls of the century stopped posting around 10:30 O_O bed time for the kids i suppose, Dont listen to the children who have honestly never lost anyone close to them, because if they have they would NEVER post anything like this, Sal was a great friend, and he will always remain in the hearts and minds of his true friends, these nobodies wanna bash him, just proves there is such thing as the bottom of the food chain, its just too bad we dont go by natural selection tho...it would be fun watching them burn, alas we do not, so all we can do is cross our fingers that they trip down the stairs or "Accidentaly" shoot themselves in the mouth for takeing a dare to see what the Barrel of a shotgun tastes like...do us all the favor...take the dare.
In person i would never be this mean, but because you dared insult the memory of a friend who has passed on, you have by all means given me a reason to lower myself to your level, im here to say one thing, Sal Gianni was an amazing Human being and he will be recognized that way, and not be cut down by the children of the internet, hopefully this ends the immature behavior and not adds to it...R.I.P Sal Gianni

I hope when you die I get to make fun of you. and show up at your funeral and piss all over your grave. and for the record. he was 19 and driving a scion xa.
Sounds to me like you need to get out more and broaden your horizons if you think this jergoff was one of the greatest people you ever knew. Hopefully your hero didn't teach you how to drive.

My guess is that the midget W0P was trying to overcompensate since he stopped growing in 8th grade and was doing at least 110 mph.

How many tattoos did he have? Because, you know, having tattoos makes you tough. Look at the older FAT Italian guys; they all have goatees AND tattoos. They're REALLY tough. Did he also have a pitbull? That makes you look tough too.

I can picture his wake: a bunch of chubby guidettes with that fake orange tan, hair teased like the lion kind, and each carrying a cellphone and cigarettes in their hands; the guys will also be the fake tanned gel-heads with black dress shirts, no ties or jackets, cheesey gold chains OUTSIDE of their shirts, and they'll all have goatees. Of course they'll be some zero buddy of the dead guy who'll punch a brick wall outside the funeral home and all the honeys will come to comfort him as he tries to stifle his tears and wonder what the phvkk just happened to the bones in his hand. So predictable....

Seriously, some of you people are that pathetically bored with your life, you have to poke fun at a situation like this?
Sal was a good friend of mine, and helped me out with a lot of things. He had my back no matter what. He had a big heart, and a bigger passion for the car hobby.
Karma is a bitch, and when it swings by for a visit, I'm sure you'll regret making these cold, heartless remarks.
Go die in a fire.
Well, Chaosboy, looks like karma swung by your little guido boy like a 54 inch Louisville Slugger.
