Should have sued the golf pro that told him to always keep his eye on the ball.

On a more serious note it is nice to see a court enter a fair verdict for a change. This was an accident and with most all sports when you participate you take that risk apon youself by participating. If it was intentional then a lawsuit is warranted but it was not so the verdict is correct and fair.

Probably a bunch of beginner golfers since they were playing a nine hole course. The dude shanked the ball trying to wack it out of the rough and inside of ball coming straight out it probably veered 90 degrees right into his "friends". When I'm playing with golfers I don't know or who arent good I make sure I'm standing behind them or far enough in front of them so that I can see the errant ball flight and have time to dodge the ball....it really is a tough luck story but the judge made the right decision I think.

You're kidding me, right? A friendly game of golf results in one friend suing another? How sad that our society has devolved into the litigious entity it has.

During the mid to late 90's there were three South Asian men who regularly played Bethpage. Two were doctors and the third was a tall slender friend of theirs. I played as a single along with them on several occasions. These were three of the nicest, most even tempered people you could ever meet.

I'ts sad when any innocent person is harmed, but I really hope the gentlemen I became friendly with were not involved in this tragic event.

Hopefully Dr. Anoop has recovered to the best of his ability and is once again enjoying his walks in the park.:)

Bob, you strike me as the kind of guy who wears a "I'm Proud To Be An American" t-shirt, yet has little respect for American values and traditions. Sadly, you are one of many.

better to yell "fore" out loud before the fact and avoid a whole lot of screaming afterward.
