Should troubled COPS take antidepressant medication?

Are antidepressants dangerous medications for cops?

Drugs ONLY bring out the EVILNESS.. Its been their all along !!

That question was raised recently on the listserv for the IACP's Psychological Services Section. A psych professional from south Florida reported noticing of late "a marked increase in police officers being prescribed" antidepressants, known pharmacologically as SSRIs (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors). These include common brand-name drugs such as Prozac, Paxil, Zoloft, Luvoc and Lexapro.

So now we learn that COPS are taking the SAME drugs as the SCHOOL SHOOTERS.ah Shit !!

While they are at it, LIST them as TERRORISTS with GUNS as they are going to do to citizens

See the double standard !!

NOW, when Citizens start to sue, get your lawyer to get their medical records....Cities are in for a big surprise as the dirty DOPE mfg'ers will be !!!

Perhaps it is because we deal with violent people .
Perhaps it is because we deal with unstable drug addicts.
Perhaps it is because we enter dangerous places night in and night out.
Perhaps it is because we are willing to protect the public at all costs.
The real reason is we love our families ,just like you love yours and will do anything to return home after every shift to see them.

Contrary to my wishes and opinions , I not by choice and against my advice relay this information to who my bride thought to be her friends. At 6:45 this evening Gloria succumbed to a natural onslaught of physical abuse brought on by a disease she fought and bested for the past 7 years. Her fight was gallant and steadfast. Her last breaths were labored and painful. She fought with the strength of 100 men to the very end. I held her hand as our family gathered around her own bed. She was to proud to cause anyone discomfort. It was her last wish to be at home . So I made sure that was to be. She by her own deeds and honorable life will be afforded a private burial in Calverton Cemetery in the days to follow. I have never sat here in her home office at her work station and even now I feel I have invaded her privacy.
She was even more wonderful than you could all imagine though she stated many times how much she enjoyed those of you she met. Her very last wish to all friends and family was to support and help flourish The St. Baldricks Foundation. As I have said goodbye to my heart and soulmate please join me in saying goodbye to your friend ,she did so enjoy you all and you made her smile often.
Regretfully but not Hopelessly

i have not seen the politicians award the teachers/nurses/taxi cab drivers who deal with the same issues daily. They are not being awarded all these parades, praise, pension perks, for the preachy, pompous, petty, pissy,pi tiful yet proud and pathetic bunch of public civil servants who provide PBA cards to their politicaly connected pals who serve and protect only there own....tools of privatizing politicians who with both their paws are stealing from the paltry middle class......
