If you read up on the Plum Island Animal testing center, that place just seems to have something hiding in itself. Not to mention that most of the testing they did through the late 90's up till now is for foot and mouth diseases of animals including but not limited to livestock and domestic creatures.

it appears this animal has both deformities of the mouth and feet, the body seems normal.

and even if its a photoshop altered picture (i make a living as a graphic designer, and i cant see any abnormal pixel usage.)...It's still scary to think of what might be going on at a place like that.

Well, its definetly not a unshelled sea turtle, notice the legs. Besides, sea turtles don't have teeth. It looks more like a gargoyle. If this is real, and I'm inclined to believe it is, then it all goes to prove what we don't know about this third stone from the sun.

There was a program on TV and scientists were turning on genes that had been turned off in the DNA of a chicken. Scientist claim the enough dormant DNA is in a chicken that if the turned off DNA was turned on the they could regress the chicken to it's dinosaur ancestor. Some of these traits were present in a developing chick in an egg like starter teeth and tail vertebrae.
They were able to reactive turned off segments of DNA to increase the number of teeth and tail vertebrae in the developing egg.
I can't help but wonder if this is an animal that has had dormant DNA reactivate at that Island near by that is doing animal testing. Notice the enlarged tooth at the end of the lower jaw opposite the point and tip of what looks like the upper beak. Is that the evolutionary start of the lower beak of the ancestor of a creature with a beak today.

it reminds me of something out of James Patterson's Maximum Ride...like the genetic experiments and all. it looks to me like some kind of sea turtle (face and flippers) and other kind of animal, possibly a manatee or a hippo. in the end i feel really sorry for it. it look's like it died, and probably lived, in pain.

I kind of doubt it is some odd strange unknown creature, first off it was never said at what size this animal was...
So it could be the size of a rat, a turtle? Come on people! Turtles has hard shells that protects their soft organs...Nope I say it is just some known animal that has been in the ocean for a long time and what you are looking at is a decomposted animal all bloated up which occurs naturally after being in water for a very long time.

My conclusion on the so called beak is actually teeth of a rodent.

However if it is true to be that of some unknown creature then guess who we have to blame for killing them? You and Me.

My son, Henry, and I think that this is the carcass of a dog.

The soft tissue of the snout has been nibbled away, and maybe it has lost its upper teeth. It has no fur except around its neck. The fur around the neck is probably there because it was protected by a collar. The remains of the collar is wrapped around one of its forelimbs.

Perhaps the dog fel overboard a boat or got swept down a storm drain. It may even have been buried on the beach.

Its a shame that all people think about these days is money. Shouldn't you be trying to find out where it came from and if there are more. What if these so called monsters are in the waters of our coasts and our children play in there. You dont know that this is and for you to call it a monster is wrong until an autopsy is done to see what it is. It was a living animal.

This creature is in no way a turtle as some have stated. First to note, most of it's body has mammel like features such as skin, hind legs, a tail. Also under the part of the tail that is connected to the body there seems to be a buldge that may be testicles implieing it to be male. It may be a mammel but a teethed beak, elongated front legs with a cloth around one leg, and the rest of it's head are not typical mammel features. While it could be a new creature unknown to science there is a animal testing facility on Long Island which points to genetics as a possible answear, but the idea of it being a new cryptid is not far off.
