a poster who is notorious for insane blockbuster deals put that out there, gee and the closer for nava...an insane deal which the sox would do in a heartbeat and the mets not stupid enough to do it..

parnell will be and should be held onto for next year, why would the mets want to seach for a closer when they have one? they have enough things to look for next year.

We agree.....Parnell is this years unheraled Met. Harvey and Wheeler get the back pages but Parnell has emerged as a legit closer.

NYM has waited since 2010 for Parnell to become their closer. Unless they get an established OF for him, he shouldn't be moved...

Reserving judgement on whether Parnell is a legitimate closer until the season is finished. The 2nd half of MLB seasons separate special from good or serviceable...

Can see Ruiz in demand at the deadline if PHI wants to move him. He is productive offensively. If Cervelli is out for longer than expected, NYY should make a run for him...

He's better defensively than some may think...

Why would the Mets give up a young low cost closer they finally developed from within their own organization for Nava? I could see Zack Wheeler for him or Gee and someone else but not Parnell.
Nava is a good young player but is not that good you would give up an impact young closer for.
Wonder what Matt Harvey thinks about giving up a young closer?
Nava is a platoon type player who also happens to be 30 years old..been platooning with the Red Sox since 2010 RH AB 523, LH 187, gets lots of help from the monster 33 2bH, 16 2bA..classic platoon player that Momma would have the Mets trade Wheeler, Gee and Parnell for..LMAO..

Yanks sweep twins (4) and take 2 of 3 from the Orioles now 8 games over .500.....Now begin a four games series with the always tough K C Royals..

Red Sox losers of 2 of 3 to the angels after getting shut out yesterday get to face Hernandez and his career 6-2 record...meanwhile the Mets continue to suck with a 37-48, 11 games under .500 record..
