Anybody notice the Yankees have unconditionally released Clay Rapada?
Alright he's injured and they need production right now but if they go for a bat over another LH reliever they are playing for the crowds and BOONE LOGAN! can't handle all the LH work this season.
To replace Rapada on the 40 Cashman has to make an actual deal...more trash picking is not what they need...LH relief remembering BOONE was injured in spring...do the right thing Cashman.
Who cares......tired of these so called lefty specialist....rather just have a 2nd lefty out there....so called "specialist" usually facing 1 batter just slows down the game down more......Rapada's ERA is 4 sumfin against righties.....if Yanks were smart....they would of kept Aardsma for the 7th inning role......go with Nuno or Spence for the 2nd lefty in the pen......and dump Joba an Eppley....maybe Farrell or Collins snatches them up right away......

Well that wasn't a strike was it?

YES guys shut their mouths when the overhead shot showed nothing but dirt between the ball and the plate.

Anyway youth vs Age and age wins...ok fun stuff. Youth wins down the road.Thats life.

Willy ol' Andy played the crap strike zone (back of the plate) Dempster couldn't find it. 8Ks none standing says alot eh?

Pettitte pitched well, but thats him...and its early and he won't last..and he won't get that strike zone handed to him on a silver platter next time either.

MR 95! Finally talked in off the ledge eh? So 1 start down for Dempster, shades of Brad Penny like I said, but still he missed every close call didn't he?

Ah well its in the books, as is Mariano putting the tying run at the plate...put play NY NY loud tonight and thank God youre too stupid and uncoordinated to tie a noose....

Welcome to the majors: Jackie Bradley Jr. loses first battle with Mariano Rivera .

. 0 25googleplus0reddit0.NEW YORK -- In a week filled with welcome-to-the-majors moments, Jackie Bradley Jr. experienced another here Thursday night.

Representing the tying run in the ninth inning, Bradley stepped to the plate against indomitable Yankees closer Mariano Rivera, pitching in his first save situation after missing almost all of last season. Bradley saw three pitches -- all cutters, Rivera's signature pitch. After taking a first-pitch strike, Bradley fouled off the next pitch. Rivera came back with another cutter, and Bradley, known for his discerning eye, took it for strike three.

"Too close to take," Bradley said later.

Bradley was born in 1990, the same year Rivera was signed out of Panama and pitched his first minor league game for the Yankees. The Red Sox' phenom was 5 years old when Rivera made his major-league debut.

But although Bradley appreciates baseball history, he said he never imagined facing Rivera.

"I didn't. I didn't even think about that," Bradley said. "Sitting in there the moment, I didn't really think about that. He really knows what he's doing. He's known for shutting things down."

Bradley did notch one of the Red Sox' few hits against Yankees starter Andy Pettitte, an RBI double in the seventh inning. He finished 1-for-4 Thursday night and was 2-for-10 (.200) with three walks, four runs scored and three RBI in three games against the Yankees.

Too close to take and too early to argue.

Yeah well that was shithouse strike zone and I have it recorded to prove it. Pettitte pitched like vet to it. Credit where credit is due. Alot of Sox left hanging and Dempster had to earn every strike 3.

See how they feel after the Tigers series.

The 2 was getting racked when he stuck his hand in the air and asked to get hurt. He was behind in every count. Is this little bent finger of his gonna be an excuse when he goes 500 or less this year as his career numbers suggest he will? Lets defuse that now....

Pettitte won't last. If he has more than 20 starts and 15 of those being quality the Yanks will be lucky.

Wow you win a rubber game and think you win the series.

Hope your dad was ok because it was very bad all of dad, broward and palm beach. And you're expecting me to go where last night? Make sense and be a person
