Reclaim the churches the schools are using and hold services there.

Good, let 'em do their groveling in their basements.

We don't need that silly crap anywhere near our schools.

And yet, while Mayor Michael Bloomberg will forbid religious organizations from leasing out schools under the rubric of “separation of church and state,” it turns out that the Department of Education itself rents out religious facilities to house public schools. P.S. 133 in Park Slope, Brooklyn, for instance, leases a Catholic institution that is run by St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.

Maybe Bloomberg should get his silly crap out of the churches.

Maybe Bloomberg could figure out a way to get the silly churches out of America while he's at it.

We need schools a hell of a lot more than churches.

I think we should tax religion in America to properly fund the educational system.

This would solve at least two problems:
-an educated society is more likely to be a secular society.
-We would relive some or the tax burden on Americans at the same time improving education.

Win, win!!

As long as there are governments, there will be religion.
The more tyrannical the government, the more men will turn to religion.
It has always been so and isn't going to change.

The more educated a population the less tyrannical a democratic government can become.

If we assume the Republicans would form a more open democratic government think of how their strong religious convictions would make them behave. Government can mimic religion when it comes to behavior.

There will always be the "clap" and other STDs as well there will always be religion, but we can always mitigate the problem with education.
