<quoted text>What is the overall tax rate in Norway? It must be pretty high to pay for everything that is given out by the government, as it is in most socialist societies. Maybe Norway and other European countries need to reexamine their immigration policies in view of the increasing number of crimes being committed by those whom they have so generously welcomed to live there.
Unemployment 4%, labor paticipation rate over 80%, given to whom? Oh those who work and pay taxes..Violent crime among the lowest in the world...Tax rate is much flatter and sustantially higher at 40% some business get reduced rates if employee base is high enough..Negative campaigning is frowned upon..Dude I've become alot more pessimistic since living here..and I generally like United States but loyalty is hard to come by..Theresno perfect place imo..but most Scandinavians aren't so focused on religious/cultural differences

The deficit is now over $18 trillion, and real wages haven't risen for most Americans in years. The economy isn't hearty, and in many sectors is just sputtering along despite 6 years of Obama and his policies, when he had Democratic majorities in both the House and Senate for the first 2 years, and in the Senate for 6 years. Record numbers of Americans are on food stamps, college graduates haven't been able to find decent jobs but owe record debts for college loans, the construction industry is uneven, and we are still losing manufacturing jobs overseas. Do you really think things are better now? Maybe they are for you, but they aren't for most Americans.

The cons can't stand it that a black President has righted the ship that was nearly destroyed by conservative ineptitude. Rendering their rightwing ideology useless.

The Bush legacy will be the towers falling. His wifie can say he'll be vindicated until she's blue in the face. It won't change a thing.

Speaking of a "partisan hack":

Real unemployment is much higher than Labor Dept. numbers, because it doesn't include Americans who gave up looking for work, and who are no longer counted in the unemployment figures. Many of the "added jobs" you refer to are low skill, minimum wage, and part time jobs. December numbers include temporary employment by stores for the holidays. Manufacturing is in decline, and we're becoming a nation of waiters and barristas. Real wages have either remained flat, or fallen relative to inflation for most Americans. National debt is now over $18 trillion and climbing.

Keep seeing the world through rose-colored lenses, and keep drinking that Kool Aid.

The Bush legacy will be how he dealt with the mess he inherited after Clinton ignored Bin Laden and Al Queda for 8 years, despite warnings such as the first World Trade Center attack in 1993, the Khobar Towers bombing in Saudi Arabia, the USS Cole attack in Yemen, and the terrorist bombings of the African embassies. There was also domestic terrorism on Clinton's watch, such as Oklahoma City and Waco. Clinton also pressured mortgage lenders to make subprime loans to borrowers who couldn't repay them, which lead to the subprime mortgage crisis and recession after Bush was elected.

Obama has been inept, to put it kindly, and/or just incompetent. His foreign policy is a disaster, with no discernible achievements. His domestic policy is partisan, and has driven the country further apart. His treatment of the economy has also been poor, as real wages have either fallen or stayed level for most Americans rather than increasing. Job growth is an illusion, and consists mostly of low paying unskilled jobs, many of which are part time with no benefits. Any objective analysis of Obama's Presidency to date will show it has been lacking in significant accomplishments.

The only ones to sing Obama's praises are his delusional partisan supporters.

Until the crash in 2008 the rate of economic growth under Bush was better than under Obama. And unlike Bush, Obama started his administration coming off a recession , making it easier to achieve growth. Much easier to establish growth when there's no where to go but up.
As far as the crash is concerned Obama had more to do with that than Bush ever did.
In 1994, Barack Obama was one of the plaintiffs in a class action lawsuit, alleging that Citibank had engaged in practices that discriminated against minorities. The lawsuit forced the bank to ease its lending practices. On the other hand, George W. Bush warned the Democratic Congress 17 times in 2008 alone about the consequences of financial turmoil at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and also put forward thoughtful plans to reduce the risk that either Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac would encounter such difficulties.
Unfortunately, these warnings went unheeded, as the Presidentís repeated attempts to reform the supervision of these entities were thwarted by the legislative maneuvering of those who emphatically denied there were problems.

That elder Bush was recently Hospitalized, I guess He worried Himself sick over the recent low oil prices experienced!!!. DONT WORRY BE HAPPY MR. BUSH!!!. Your Son old Jeb there when He becomes Prez. will put the price of oil back up there with His $10.00 a gallon gas!!!. What people needs to understand is that the Bushes are oil Men, they want the price of oil to be high, it's their life blood!!!. When we had Reagan for Prez, Gas was just $1.20 a gallon, with the elder Bush it shot up to $1.70 a gallon, with the big "W" it went all the way up to $3.89 a gallon!!!.

Wanna dispute something he's said in lieu of the ad hom attacks ?
You crow about job creation yet complain that EVERY single Obama jobs creation measure has been shot down by republican senate. So exactly what has Obama done to proactively influence job creation ?
