I agree with you. The provider's religious beliefs do take priority over a patient's desire to kill an unborn child.

Then perhaps the provider is in the wrong field. How can a pharmacist declined birth control? The 'pill' is used for other things so how can they deny what a physician has prescribed? Nor should a women have to explain to a pharmacist what she needs it for. You do have people who are against 'the pill' for 'moral reasons. I know that the birth control method that they are talking about is the IUD. I find it extremely funny how republicans run on 'less gov't' but they always can overlook that when it is beneficial to their cause.

If a clinic or hospital is willing to work with an employee who doesn't want to provide a specific service, then that employee is lucky. If not, I think the person should work somewhere else - Geriatrics, gastroenterology, cardiology, and many other specialties will not bump against these issues. People need to find the job that fits them.

This is insanity.
You VOLUNTARILY entered a profession that you KNEW routinely practiced something with which you are adamantly against.
January 20, 2009 can't come soon enough.

Are you in favor of keeping abortion safe and legal ?
John Methuselah McBush promised to appoint justices to the Supreme Court who will OVER TURN Roe v. Wade.

Are you better off now than you were 8 years ago ?
If not, then throw the Radical Right Wing Republican Religious Nuts OUT !
