Vancouver Coastal Health seems to be under the impression that nursing homes like Inglewood Care Centre are home to little old ladies who sit around doing crossword puzzles and playing cards. Those days are long gone ! The resident's of these facilities are often suffering from advanced dementia or complex, unstable medical conditions. They are amoung our most vulnerable citizens and they need and deserve the best care available. RNs should not and cannot be replaced by LPNs. It's just that simple.
