Here's their chance to replace their whining about the VA with adequate budget support for it. Will they show some responsibility?

Republicans in Congress have decided maybe they should have allowed all those Veteran's funding bills....Imagine, having a Veterans Administration scandal, combined with their legislative record? Very upseting for the terminally outraged among them.....

It's not a funding problem. The fact is that the House authorized MORE funding for the VA than Obama requested.
The problem is that Government workers are not held to any measure of accountability. They can falsify records and lie. They see no reason to support the needs of their constituents, least of all veterans. Their only interest is in sucking money from taxpayers so they can live high on the hog. And, if you think Obamacare will produce anything different, you are a fool.

Will Republicans vote to support our veterans? Let's ask them to pass adequate VA funding and keep our fingers crossed that they'll do the right thing.

The VA has a billion dollars plus in funding as of today.

Its not about funding, its about incompetency, neglect, laziness and red tape government BS bureaucracy, phoney statistics, secret wait lists, etc...

Nice try in laying blame on the GOP, though.

Of course, the House authorized even more than Onama requested.

Your assertion that "the VA has a billion dollars plus in funding as of today" sounds compelling since most of us can't imagine what we couldn't do with a billion plus dollars. However, you don't document your premise that it is sufficient funding. The Chairman of the Senate Veterans Affairs Committee believes it is insufficient and I suspect he has evaluated it in considerable detail.

That's not to say that VA funds have always been budgeted wisely. I suspect they haven't. It's also obvious that there is a culture of corruption that's resulted in falsification of records in efforts to cover VAs' failure to meet scheduling performance standards. These are very serious problems that need to be resolved, but doing so will not compensate for insufficient funding.

Serious problems rarely can be traced to a single cause.

Just think about the HIGH QUALTITY HEALTHCARE veterans could obtain if their veterans ID card could be used as a health insurance card that they could use every place and any place of their choice.

The VA was a mess during the Nixon Administration, So yeah, there's plenty of blame for a generation of Republicans.

Including Reagan, who never passed up a photo op to bask in the glory Veterans earned when serving.

Funny how you bitch about Bush, Nixon and Reagan but forgot about Clinton and..... who is in charge now and can make the most changes RIGHT NOW to fix this problem? Ohh ya, Obama.

But lets continue to blame Presidents from 30+ years ago for our current President's inorance. After all, he campaigned on fixing the problem but why let facts get in the way of bigotry and hate right?

Gosh, if your IQ reached into two digits, you'd pick up on the theme that the VA has had problems since 1811.

PS:
