If you're rich or have affordable medical care, it's not a death sentence. For the poor, it still is.

The best thing to do is continue safe sex and not share needles (if you're dumb enough to do intravenous drugs).

AIDS is NEVER a good thing - no matter who might become infected.
Don't let the bigots and haters drag you down to their level. I know it's hard, but stand strong.

Make sure you get all the facts about what's going on inside your body and take care of yourself. You will be fine, the HIV virus doesn't kill you, it will only make you a stronger person because you will take better care of yourself than someone who doesn't have it and you will over come any obstacle. People out PozSpaces.com who are afraid to talk to you or get to know you because of it don't deserve to be in your life. You don't need negativity, just love and happiness.

Why would you say such a thing? I mean regardless of one's financial status......there are ways to get the medication one needs to help them fight HIV/AIDS!!!

And the best thing to do is to continue to practice safe sex, use condoms and don't be promiscuous and if one is promiscuous.....then get tested regularly......knowledge is power!!!

From what I understand it is still a major cause of death in Africa.

I take a bunch of drugs for various medical conditions that are not related to infectious disease and I don't have HIV. Some of these drugs are fairly new. If I were to pay for them out of pocket, they'd be expensive but not nearly as expensive as protease inhibitors. I am very sceptical that HIV drugs really cost that much more to develop and currently to produce than other medications. The drug companies just like to profit on them as they are life-or-death medicines that must be taken for a lifetime, hence a steady source of revenue. If someone who is not an employee of a pharmaceutical firm can produce evidence to the contrary, please go ahead.

Oh, have mercy! My son is on disability. He takes a medication for his memory and has done so for over five years. Before that medication, he didn't remember who people were outside of parents, grandparents, siblings, etc. They just decided not to cover it anymore! It's luckily only $25 and his daddy pays for it for him! Next month it may be a different med they decide they don't want to cover anymore.

Could you homosexuals tell Obama it's not a death sentence?

He was surrounded by what looked like the Village People this afternoon and announced like JFK went to the moon, it was time for him to cure AIDS.

Cost?

$100,000,000.00.

Yeah, ain't gonna work.

And if you infect one of us, you'll be arrested and tried for murder.

That's why the great artist of our time forever banned you from his universe.

George Lucas.

You would try to use the Force to get at our heinouses.

The researches going into defeating HIV are producing medications that may soon be the only hope for you and those you love.
