Without a change in the management of the VA, dumping more money into a broken system will just mean more wasted taxpayer dollars. By the time Congress returns from their vacation, it will be the same old operation at the VA.

After twice, working on a geriatric unit as a staff nurse, enduring the lazy, insubordinate staff, ponderously evident after the "supposed" management leaves for the day. The nurse manager of the unit who demands her ass be kissed by her worms on a daily basis, very top heavy organization.
As a vet, ok and even excellent at times, ah, the bell curve.

The VA, like any government agency, hires and promotes too many people based on factors other than merit. Then these people in turn hire others who are less competent then they are and soon we have the barely functional mess that we have now.
