"State officials said the clinic’s license suspension was not related to the new abortion legislation."

Article says it hadn't been inspected in 6 1/2 years.

FEMCARE meets the ambulatory surgical center standard required by the new legislation.

We love sticking our snouts up women's dresses and telling them what to do with their reproductive organs. We have such tiny little flaccid organs of our own we just have to have control of women's organs.

What is there to inspect? It's not like you're making hamburgers and fries.

Cleanliness? Sterilization? Procedures and safeguards? Equipment function? You need more? You don't think hospitals are inspected regularly?

Here's a few of the things they were cited for:

• Maintain anesthesia (nitrous oxide gas) delivery systems in good working condition, with torn masks and tubing held together with tape;

• Ensure emergency equipment had weekly checks to ensure the equipment was suitable for use in patient care and failed to ensure that emergency medicine wasn't expired;

• Have a resuscitator available;

• Sweep and mop the operating room floor and failed to properly clean operating room beds;

Don't you think a resuscitator might come in handy? Would you want your anesthesia administered with a taped together mask? This is gross.

It wouldn't matter, if you're on anesthesia, you wouldn't remember.

You'd remember the nasty infections you got.

Thank God we have real political leaders now in Raleigh who are doing the right thing and shutting down these baby killing places.

You can't kill something that isn't alive.

There. I said it. Start the flamewar.

That's right. That isn't the reason this clinic was shut down. It was unsafe from a cleanliness, sanitation, sterilization and procedural perspective. These things can be corrected. They will not remain closed. Abortions are legal in North Carolina, like it or not.

What a transparent poser! Cullen, if you don't approve of abortions, don't have one.

So a baby is not alive until it is born? What a backward inbreed you are. No flame war, just a fact about you.

Babies are not a woman's body, they're a completely biologically identifiably separate life.

Men should have equal say in the life of a baby.

Religion is dead, why should we listen to the voice of the Catholic Church in matters such as abortion?

There, I said it. Continue flaming.

No you're the one that is backward and likely inbred as well. Your way of thinking dates back into the beliefs of the Catholic Church who will never allow abortions. Bring that baby into the earth and let it starve and die but no cutting an embryo off at the start. Gotta make sure it suffers a miserable life before it dies.

But it will burn in hell if it doesn't believe in Jesus, so... a miserable life is a preview of things to come.

Continue flaming, please.

Larry, get off here before your probation officer sees this! I let you back in out of sympathy. But if you don't stay off here like the court ordered, you'll be sleeping down behind the Star Lanes again in the Rain Gardens with your vagrant buddies.
