Just another move by this organization to fail the communties is serves.

They have always been about making the big money so they can give themselves perks, and the public suffers.

The closed Burbank, you have to wait hours at the Leom. ER, if you can be seen at all, and the list goes on and on.

Hopefully another hospital will eventually come into the area to serve the needs of the communities, and put them out of business.

Thye are now the new Unitil...

You've got to be kidding me! Mental health issues aren't anything to mess with. There could be a trigger at any given time and easy accesessable help is a must. Extreme level. What about the people who deal with daily mental issues who rely on treatment. whether having a med check or counsiling. With depression on the rise, why would you mess with resources that are for this area?

Leominster Hospital? Are you kidding me? It's not the waiting that's bad, it's the poor quility of care. Was there once for a simple x-ray. A family came in with someone that was apparently having a strock. Security guard made them wait. and when the family was desperate with wanting medical attention, the guard was all' saftly issue'. If you successfully want to die, you go to Leominster. well that's what people say. it's to bad with public transportation people won't have medical/mental services. Go to Nashoba or clinton!

Ahhh, the Obabma health care law is starting to kick in!!!!!! If care ever gets cheaper (I doubt it) good luck finding it. Maybe in the back woods of Tennessee or mountains of West Virginia?

Once again Mr. Muldoon chooses to blame his inability to manage Health Alliance and its programs or hcr. The truth be known mr. Muldoon is running these facilities into the ground and the BOD is allowing him to do it.Does anyone see the irony in Heywood Hospital wanting to ADD beds to its facility. I would say this is probably due to good management skills.Burbank Hospital is a disgrace to Health Alliance. It is falling apart and the majority of the Bullock building is not rented to a low imcome health group for $1.00 a year. (That sure helps with improvements.)Glad we are spending all that money to enlarge the ER at Leominster. They will be able to accomodate many for patients in their waiting and waiting and waiting room. Good going Mr. Muldoon. You sure are a credit to the Health Alliance Community. NOT

Without a doubt a number of these patients will be transferred to any one of a dozen or so halfway houses in Leom of Fitch. Many of these patients or prospective patients are quite ill with delusions, paranoia, and can be prone to violence towards themselves or others. Unfortunately they'll be sent to our communities in houses which are poorly staffed. Then if some terrible situation, which is common place in halfway houses, takes place, they're sent to prison.

"Let me be exactly clear about what health care reform means to you ... First of all, if you've got health insurance, you like your doctors, you like your plan, you can keep your doctor, you can keep your plan. Nobody is talking about taking that away from you." -Obama

Just more unintended consequence from our Liberal elite. Obamacare now threatening the loss of health care coverage for 30,000 McDonald employees..
McDonald's May Drop Health Plan:

How many other little landmines like this are in that massive bill that was rammed down our throats behind closed doors?

Higher costs, longer wait times, inferior care - every nightmare scenario envisioned by Obamacare critics is coming true. But Obama doesn't care; he will either be out of office or on his way out the door in 2014 when the bulk of his "spread the wealth" agenda becomes active.

Yep Jim, I think you are right, and once again it is all about the money for the ones at the top of the food chain. I feel for the 19 staffers getting tossed to the curb, and they say that this area job outlook is improving. I don't see it, it appears to be getting worse every day. I wonder how big Muldoon's raise was this year?

Patients not having accessible mental health care and not having the ways or the means to get to Gardner, Leominster or other neighboring hospitals is going to create even more calls and problems for our Life Safety personnel, not just the police, but fire and EMTs as well. Along with further endangering innocent citizens.

And more unintended consequences from our liberal elite:

Firms cancel health coverage

Since April 1, the date many insurance contracts are renewed for small businesses, the owners of about 90 small companies in Massachussets
terminated their insurance plans with Braintree-based broker Jeff Rich and indicated in a follow-up survey that they were relying on publicly-funded insurance for their employees.

As an employee of healthalliance I can tell you this as we see it now. There have been DAYS that mental health people wait for an admission; now that will be longer. So as they take up rooms in the ER, you, with sick kids will just wait longer. The people with insurance have to wait for people without insurance that have a splinter get seen.
As far as mental health ... they will choose to not get help; they will wander through your neighborhood as recent police calls have shown -- and as the manic depressant, suicidal/homicidal patient knocks on your door and says they want to hurt you and your family, they will not get treatment. They are the bottom of the totem pole, so they dont get help. In turn, they lash out at the community and we are at risk. Call your state senator --- everyday --- and get them involved. If not, your family will be put at risk by people with mental health issues wandering around your community. And yes, Healthalliance management IS mismanaging. Call for their resignations. Most hospitals HAVE reorganized and maintain profit. Healthalliance has not.

The projected expenses for Obamacare have been willfully hidden by the current crop of misfits in control of this government . Businesses across this country are responding in the economically most rational way: have taxpayers pick up the tab..

All you people should "THINK" long and hard when you go to the voting booth in November. Do you really want to support this current crop of misfits who have total control and power over our children's and their children's future ????
Lets see"
-Cap and Trade or Waxman-Markey “Cap and TAX (H.R. 2454)-
The plan to inflate the cost of energy, transportation, food and clothing by $1,241 annually that will strain every family budget "including the poor", and decimate this country's manufacturing sector --all in the name of supposedly saving us from global warming, global cooling and now climate change.

- Value Added Tax or "VAT" -
This tax is collected at each stage of production, rather than only at the retail level like state sales taxes. The plan is to hide taxes that can consistently move higher without 'taxpayer’s knowledge to provide funds to buy votes and keep our career politicians in office.

- Global Poverty Act -
Obama's Senate Bill 2433 that's “waiting in hiding” about global income "wealth" redistribution. Their distribution - our income. Heard much debate about it? Ah, it's only 8.5 tenths of a trillion.

- Amnesty for Illegal Aliens-
Giving more than ten million illegal aliens access to Auntie Zeituni Onyango’s new government teet. The same system that "took advantage" of her and will give every single illegal alien instant mandatory health care.
Absolutely every voter "with children" concerned with legal and/or illegal immigration needs to see these 2 short videos:
- Obamacare - Enough said!

Vote as if your kid’s life depends on it. BECAUSE IT DOES

Doesn't Jen sit on the Joint Committee on Mental Health and Substance Abuse as well as the Public Health Committee? I'm sure her constituents would be interested in hearing her opinions on this matter.

Look at Jen's political contributors.

Leslie Bovenzi - sits on the Board of Trustees at Leominster Hosp.
(Her husband Peter has also made contributions)

Gail Allen - sits on the Board of Trustees at Leominster Hosp.

Norman Boudreau - sits on the Board of Trustees at Leominster Hosp.

John Clementi - sits on the Board of Trustees at Leominster Hosp.

Patric Muldoon - President and CEO of HA Leominster and sits on the Board of Trustees at Leominster Hosp.

Michael Cofone - CFO & Treasurer of HA Leominster

Four members of the Board of Trustees, the CFO, the President & CEO (also memeber of Board) all have a financial interest in Ms. Flanagan. Surely she could get an audience with these people to get to the bottom of closing a critical service that this hospital provides to the community she represents.

Go here to see who contributes to who (you have to register to download the complete list)

And cross reference with HA Leominster's Board of Trustees listing
