New medical center brings state-of-the-art care to Bastrop

Like a lot of small central Texas towns, Bastrop's population is booming, and as it grows, the healthcare needs of the community are changing.

Great news, now, how about another supermarket. The area can support two stores. Competiton is healthy for a commnity.

Thank goodness!!! I was at Smithville Hospital last week and it was a zoo!! They had one Dr in house with all the rooms full, patients out in the hallway, and 8-9 more in the waiting room. I finally left after sitting there for 2 hrs and only one person being called back during that time and went to Austin. May I also add the floors were dirty and the few seats open had crumbs of food and trash in them. Not a good impression!
