Patient education is very important because patients need to have an active participation in their health. If they are aware of the possible risks and benefits they might be able to make a sound decision. A person with a defibrillator may have certain limitations. They might not be able to take extreme stress. Taking medications like Zoloft may help but there are also side effects that they need to know about.
