The Baby Boomers will pay for it, Big Time. Now if they can find well educated and skilled employees who care about the services they are paid to provide to patients it would be worth it. Some however, do not belong in the field. Twenty years ago when you went to your Doc they did everything they could to help you. Now they are regulated by the greedy insurance company who does not have the patients best interest at heart. It is all about the money, regardless if the patient pays huge premiums, copays and percentages.
Insurance will not pay for a Heart CT scan checking for blocked arteries which is the least evasive test on the Patient. They would rather force the patient to continue stress tests or force them to take dangerous drugs to race your heart. This is absurd. A CT scan gets the job done once. The repeated stress tests can add up and be even more costly in the long run.
