why dont some of you people get a life .some of the stuff you are writing about has nothing to do with the poor women giving birth by herself and her four year old daughter.you put the poor father down because wasnt he there. this can happen to any women close to giving birth.

Anyone notice how 'Sgw's' syntax and writing style are eerily similar to 'SharonMom of Bobby'(who also just happens to be from Chicopee).
Oh wait, aren't 'Sgw' and 'SharonMom...' the only posters from Chicopee on these threads?
Wow, imagine that!
Who would have thought two people from the same town would express themselves identically?
What an amazing coincidence!

Then why didn't The Eagle reporter just say that the father was at work? Or commuting?
Or something?
But the info was left blank, thereby leading the reader to draw his own conclusions.
Eagle reporters aren't that smart.
If they were, they'd be reporting for the Enquirer like real journalists.

Jack Dew is no Daniel Pearl but he usually gets his facts straight.
I think you should assume the omission was intentional.
It sounds as though this is one more case of "virtual" fatherhood.
How many is that in Pittsfield so far this year?

Like GM says the story is so vague, you just have to poke fun at it.

Lets see now calls father at 5A.M. and he says call 911. Most think that is to early for work.So I have to ask have any of you ever worked 3rd shift? He may have thought that after all the times she was in labor that it was a false alarm again. Now,I hope mom and baby are healthy.

If you yourself have pointed out in the past how the Berkshire Eagle has faulty reporting then why bash the father when the Eagle doesnt mention him except to say of his absence? Does this truly surprise anybody?

Congratulations to mother and baby and new big sis! A baby is such a gift! What an amazing story you all have to share with her one day! May you all being doing well! Take care and God Bless!

What makes you think you have a right to post something like that? It isn't anyones business where the father was, whos custody the children were in, or how many daughters the mother has. If you know the father and want to hang his dirty laundry out for people to see then so be it, but don't invole mother and daughters. That is nobodys business!

Everyone needs to just story be, it doesn't matter where dad was, or how many sisters there are, or even whos cusody the children are in. Everyone makes mistakes and the fact of the matter is none of us were there and none of us know the circumstances of the situatiuon! Bottom line good luck to MOTHER and FAMILY!

So im curious as to why she wanted to have the child so far away in springfield when BMC was right there. Was it simply because the baby is already addicted to drugs and would need more help then bmc could give?

Probably since she was having contraction for 10 days, they termed the pregnancy high risk, and all high risk pregnancies go to Springfield, especially since the baby only weighed about 5 lbs, kind of obvious really, although since you want to think the worst, go ahead.
