So many Filipinos are high skilled but where does the high IQ rich chinks play a role into this Canadian need of non combatant coast guard ship? Maybe they (chinksd) have high IQ enough to bypass the skilled works/jobs?

Yeah so that makes you a very important addition tom Canada to dominate the whites and you're too good to do work with your hands. If I were white not to be mistaken as white wannabe like you chinky boy, I would start in earnest to drive you off my country. You're a parasite in every way.

so says the brown ape...

dont cry because the Chinese/East Asians are dominating the whites...

while your kind is the Nannies and the fast food workers...

I may have wanted to be white while living in a white country in the 1970s as a child but these days.... I want to be Chinese... because like the whites in the 70s they dominate...

I dont want to be white.... and definitely not a boastful brown ape like you

I would argue you are the one who wants to be white these days as an ADULT

as you get on your knees to westerners and western countries

just the fact you dont get that... shows how much of a dumb ape you are...

pretending you are rich while talking about saving enough on your last paycheck...

talk about a stupid APE

LOL

Manual labor sucks, and you shouldn’t let your children do it

There were a few comments critical of my previous post on liberal arts grads working on organic farms. They said I was looking down on people who do blue collar work, or something like that.

I’m not embarrassed or ashamed to say that I think that manual labor sucks, and I’m glad I don’t have to do it. Especially outdoor manual labor. If the prospect of doing hard labor in the hot summer sun or freezing winter isn’t bad enough, the pay also sucks. For this reason, agricultural work has to be one of the worst possible jobs, which explains why a lot of this work is done by Hispanic immigrants (both legal and illegal).

Of course I am aware that someone has to do this work, and also that more than half the people have IQs below 100 and aren’t qualified to do intellectual work, and wouldn’t enjoy such work anyway. I have nothing against blue collar workers, so long as they have middle-class values and not poor-people values.

I am aware that there used to be a social norm that teenagers and college students would do unskilled labor jobs after school and during their summers. That norm has changed a lot. Even back in 1981, John T. Molloy in his book Live for Success (which purports to give advice on how to become more upper class) advised you not to let your children work in such jobs, because they don’t learn any useful career skills and may even pick up lower class values towards work which would hurt them in the future rather than help them.

Today, the norm for upper-middle-class children is that they are busy building up their resumes with unpaid extracurricular activities [including sports] and internships. Upper-middle-class parents know what they are doing. If you want your children to have a shot at a good career, you should do follow their lead. College graduates without any experience in the field they wish to work aren’t highly valued, which is why those unpaid internships are important to create the impression that they have relevant work experience.

If you have an IQ of at least 115, you can do any job

People with low and high IQ scores can work almost any job at almost any level. But it becomes increasingly difficult to perform well in very complex or fluid jobs (such as management in an ambiguous, changing, unpredictable fields) with a lower IQ. An IQ over 115 places no restrictions on what you can do.

On the other hand, unskilled work doesn't require a high IQ, as only simple decisions need to be made

British Colombia seems to be an attractive place for Filipinos to settle in Canada. Must be a big network of them over there.

Filipinos in Canada... are here mostly on the temporary worker program...

the are not as trashy as the Filipinos back home... but they dont advance themselves as a demographic group

.
.
“DON’T FORGET MOM. SEND MONEY HOME.”

That’s the chiding message, in all caps, from one of the many ads in Filipino newspapers, which can be found stacked in ethnic shops throughout many east Vancouver neighbourhoods.

The omnipresent ads promote a serious business. They encourage expatriate Filipinos to send their hard-earned money to struggling moms, dads, brothers, sisters and grandparents in their Southeast Asia homeland.

“Remittance” is a word heard often among Metro Vancouver’s 80,000-strong Filipino community, the third largest visible minority in the city after Chinese and South Asians.

The word refers to the way overseas Filipinos — known as “Balikbayans”— routinely transfer payments or financial gifts to the old country by mail or, more commonly, by electronic means through financial institutions.

“Most Filipinos send money home, and other things,” said Rafael Dumandan, manager of the Padalahan Centre on Fraser and 26th Avenue, whose store features several ways to deliver remittances.

The central Vancouver neighbourhood that is home to the Padalahan Centre — roughly bounded by Fraser and Knight streets, King Edward and 33rd avenues — has the highest concentration of Filipinos in Metro Vancouver.

.
.
Most of Metro Vancouver’s Filipinos value being near transit hubs — since many need to travel inexpensively to low-to-middle-wage jobs as nannies, cleaners, seniors care aids, security officials, service clerks, short-order cooks and practical nurses.

Growing army of temporary workers

As well as making up Metro Vancouver’s third-largest visible minority, Filipinos comprise the largest ethnic cohort among Canada’s growing army of 280,000 temporary foreign workers, according to immigration specialists.

Canadian companies are increasingly targeting the country of 95 million people to recruit the eager workers.

Canadians of Filipino origin make up a high proportion of all those employed in both health occupations and in manufacturing. In 2001, people who reported Filipino origin made up about 1% of all workers, but represented 2% of people employed in health occupations and in manufacturing. In contrast, their representation was disproportionately low among those holding management positions, as well as among those employed in education, government and the social sciences.
