Filipinos win settlement in English-only case

Dozens of Filipino hospital workers in California will share a nearly $1 million settlement in a lawsuit claiming they were targeted by a rule requiring English only at work, federal officials said Monday.

Sounds like your are on crak! The lawsuit was not about patient care; learn to read! It was about language! Long live the drmc nurses who defended themselves!

We are here because we sacraficed alot back home to go to school and become educated. We worked very hard for our education. Alot of you, take this country for granted, you were born here, but were too lazy to take advantage of your American education. If you dont want to study hard and work even harder, that is your own choosing! We decided to study and work hard and come to American, isnt that the American dream?!

She or he never said it was about patient care. She or he said that they should of done a lawsuit about that you ignorant "pacita." All I have to say is that I have a flip coworker and he is the laziest person I have ever worked for and the job is soo easy. But his lazy ass wants to be sitting down the whole time. Oh and when I went to school all what flips did was copy homework every single day and try proving me wrong

That's great, but from what I hear a lot of you Filipino nurses mistreat the patients..and no this is not about a maltreatment case, but just in case you wonder why no one wanted you to win, its because you are the reason DRMC has a bad reputation and no one wants to go there. isI know someone who works there she is a hard worker, she is great with people, she treats the patients like human beings, like she would want one of her children to be treated, but she often sees Filipino RN's mistreat imprisoned patients, yelling at them, making an embarassment of them, and covering it with with the support of other Filipino nurses..when my friend was hospitalized there I was there daily to take care of him..I often felt the need to be stern and advocate for his needs, I can only imagine those without support:o./....
