Don't get me wrong, I'd love nothing more than for the Hawks to go all the way, but it's not as if the Hawks are going to be totally outclassed by whoever they play. If they play Detroit and beat them, then it will surely be an upset, but the Hawks are a great team, it wouldn't exactly take a miracle for them to win. I guess I just don't really buy into the whole "cinderella" angle. Inexperienced or not, this team finished the season with the 3rd best record in the conference. Unless you were speaking to the quick turnaround of this franchise in the past year or 2. Because I suppose that could be considered a "miracle" if it ends with a Cup. I guess the point I really wanted to make was the US olympic team in 1980 had to go through the Russians, the odds on favorite , just to get to the gold medal game against the Finns. We have to likely go through the Wings, the favorites, to get to the finals. The Americans in 1980 concentrated on their game and not the reputation of the Russians and beat them. The confidence from that win carried over to the gold medal game. They just wouldn't listen when anyone told them they would lose to Russia and our guys just won't listen to the "experts" when they tell us we won't beat the Wings. That is why the game is played on the ice and not in the press. Too much heart on the Hawks to be intimidated. GO HAWKS GO!!!!!!!

The worst was having to put up with Hughson and all the Canucks shills on the CBC. I loved it when with the score 7-5 and the last few minutes wre ticking away those clowns were eating a magnificent plate of crow. Don Cherry can put the stupid stuffed ORCA in mothballs or give it to his Pit Bull for a toy. Won't be needing it for awhile.

One of the Hawks weakest links this season has been the powerplay but it sure wasn't last night! They keep improving that PP and they'll be unstoppable. Now I'm really looking forward to the Wings-Hawks conference final but I'm not sure which sweater to wear, Homstrom or Sharp? If the Hawks teams of the 90's had a power play that looked anything like this on they would have won 4 cups.

Has anyone else noticed that the "young, inexperienced upstarts from Chicago" are the only ones who finished off their opponent in 6 games??? The "powerhouses" who are supposed to stomp all over the Hawks are all going 7 games. Hmmm...

No fooling around, they keep finding ways to get it done. Sure, the games get tougher as the rounds progress, but this team has gotten tougher as the rounds progress, too. Who knows just how far they can go, especially as the underdogs they are with no pressure.

This Hawks team is improving as they go and are Winning the Big games under Pressure. They have played well on the road as well. I like the Hawks over the Chicken Wings in 6 games!! The Wings are gonna be Worn down from a tough series and the young Hawks will be pretty fresh!! I dont see the OLD Wings being able to go 7 games against this young Hawks team!! Bring on Detroit,The Hawks are Hungry for some "Chicken Wings"!!! GO HAWKS,2009 STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS!!
