The Flyers are responsible for 30% of the Penguins defeats...and tonight was a good example of this...

This is the whiniest article I have ever read in my entire life, and besides, it's barely literate. Crosby is one of the strongest and toughest players in the league, in addition to being (by far) the most talented. Jealousy is without question the reason so many morons like this one dislike Crosby. It certainly has no basis in fact and rational thought. Just listen to this drooler's laughable notion that the Pens won their last cup despite Crosby, and that he's having a deleterious effect on the players around him (tell that to Dupuis and Kunitz, presently playing by far the best hockey of their careers), and it will tell you all you need to know.

Crosby, is the whiniest player in the NHL...he's not a team player at all...it's all about him...he proved that last year, during the Olympics...he only scored 1 goal...yes, it won the Gold Medal...but he gave no credit to his team players...he took all of the credit...then, when he started back playing for the Pens...the American fans booed him...and he said, that American fans...are a bunch of whiners...and what Country, is he playing in now??? AMERICA, land of the whiners...and where he collects his salary...Crosby needs to grow up, and start acting like an adult...not like a little boy.

Find me the quotes where he took all the credit for the gold medal. Then find me the quotes for him saying American fans are "a bunch of whiners." You can't, because they don't exist. I'm a Pittsburgh fan, living in Pittsburgh, and I thought the booing was disgraceful, but Crosby handled it with his typical class and diplomacy.

Jealousy is a terrible weakness, Marisa, and it makes you look bad. Face the fact that you'd fall on your knees and thank the heavens if somehow Crosby ended up on your team. He won't, though, because he agrees to take (steep) salary cuts to play with Staal and Fleury and Malkin in Pittsburgh. His TEAMMATES, BTW, regard him as the consumate team player, and we in Pittsburgh know the staggering amount of charity work he does in the area. You don't, because he's characteristically quiet about it. So go on clinging to your fantasies about what a terrible person he is if it makes you feel better about your team, but know that it comes off as more than a little pathetic.

When he won the Gold Medal...I saw the interview...I saw him take ALL of the credit...as for working for charities...many Sports stars, do work for charity work...so he's not alone there...as for when the he called Ameericans whiners, I will try to find the source and get back to you on that one...but I do remember reading about it...You can go on thinking he's a saint, if you want to...I think he acts like a little boy...and NO I wouldn't want to see him on my team...simply because he's not a team player...

Wow, imagine that. The guy who comes up through Juniors leading everyone on the planet in ASSISTS, and then takes the NHL by storm as a set-up man (as in, ASSISTS), and then only transforms himself into an elite scorer when asked to by his coach (though about half of his points are still ASSISTS) is not a team player.

You may be great at a lot of things, Marisa, but your hockey IQ remains pretty low!

I have been a hockey fan, since before you were even born...I am an AVID hockey fan...it's the only sport I can say I actually LOVE...you're just saying this because I'm a woman...you would sing a different tune, if I was a guy...

Actually, I respond the same way to ALL Flyer fans who buy into this idiotic myth about Crosby being weak or selfish or a whiner. It strikes me as really pathetic that so many of you let Hitchcock--a really BAD former coach--tell you what and how to think. And if you've been a hockey fan since before I was born, I hope you have your pacemaker turned on.

This response makes no sense...but it does sound like a response from a Penguins fan...Go FLYERS!!!

Because you don't even know your own team's history. It was Ken Hitchcock that started all of this nonsense about Crosby, and a lot of brain-dead scrapple-gnawers glommed onto it like it was gospel and haven't let go of it since, no matter how much contrary evidence stares them in the face.

Flyers history lesson over. Now let me know when you need me to tell you who the Broad Street Bullies were.

Just saw that post where you said you wouldn't want Crosby on your team!! LOL!! That is TOO funny.

Pens fans used to hate Asham, but when we got the chance to pick up him up, we immediately celebrated, because we were mature enough and intelligent enough to realize what his blend of grit and skill could mean to our team. I'd take Richards or Carter or Pronger in a heartbeat if the price was right--only an idiot wouldn't.

I know, only too well, who the Broad Street Bullies were...and I would love to see that wimp Crosby...play against them...they would mop up the ice with him...especially, Dave "the Hammer" Schultz...I'm laughing, just at the thought of it...lol
