NHL owners are playing with fire. Fehr is no one to be jerked around. This first offer, if true, has set the tone for future negotiations in the sport that is enjoying historic television exposure and revenues. Yes, there a few struggling franchises. But that is the result of strangling ownership. Bettman has once again laid down a gauntlet that will cause reverberations the rest of the summer. A lockout will kill this die-hard Flyers fan's interest in pro hockey. Greed. greed. Where has this nation heard this sin before.
