He's a dam good player!
For sure.. I live in Halifax NS so I have watched him grow.. and as soon as he was singed by Pit I knew he would light up the Flyers.
Weather the flyers were on top or bottom he would still light em up..
However not only has he lit up the Flyers for lots of points but he has been doing it to many teams.

Great for the Great??

mike richards is like a player from days of yore, remember dave poulin? His effort makes up for his skills, Carter is in the primeau mold, maybe even more skilled with a great release. I like where they are going with this team, fast, highly technical players, some big brutes with some mobile defensemen, and a real number 1 goalie. Hopefully there is some ridiculously skilled russian available this draft. We need a cup for god's sake.
I think I may cry when we finally get another cup in this city. Since I was born in '76, have yet to see one hoisted in my lifetime.

How about the game vs. the Leafs? Biron looked like a super star. No one in their right mind can blame him for two of the goals. The Flyers D needs to get out of his way and let him see the puck!!

Ben Eager.... I've always loved his energy. He isn't the most skilled player, but he has heart. He set the tone for the game when he knocked Tucker on his @$$. I think Tucker was shocked. You didn't see him too much of him after that. I was suprised that he didn't stay on the ice. He can dish it out, but usually can't take it.

Some say Eager is the only reason they'll watch the last two games. He has sooooo much energy.
I wouldn't mind seeing a Cote vs. Janssen round 2 tonight. We got nothing to lose at this point, but some good rough housing would be nice. We need that physical play again that we're so use to in Philly.

Unfortunately, I had a work engagement tonight and was not able to see 2/3 of the game. Parent's record is gone. Its been replaced by a Devil. I never thought that this year could get any worse.

I'm going to go to bed now and cry myself to sleep.

Bernie... you are still the greatest in my book!!!!! Brodeaur never would have stood a chance in Jersey through the 90's if it was for Stevens ( punk!!)

HEY Don't forget.. This NHL is way more watered down compared to when Parent got his 47 wins and he also didn't have the benefit wins. This record was only beaten on paper.. Not to take anything away from Brodeaur but it is a totally different era!!

Anyone think Hatcher needs to go? the days of the bruisers are gone. He looks like a May Pole out there, everyone skating circles around him. He looks lost. Its good to have some power, but there isnt the need that there once was. Its kinda sad, really.

Hatcher's time seems to be up, he does look good in front of the net on the man advantage though. I think he will be back next year, most likely his last. As for the parent record, Marty said its a different era so he basically put his own asterisk by his name. Lets sign some good players this summer and get back amongst the wins.

Well they ended the season with a win. I was glad to see that they came out and played hard to the very end. Biron looked great in goal, AND THE D-MEN acctually played some what up to par today. Hatcher of course was on the ice for two goals that never should have been scored. One he even knocked into his own net. I just hope that when free agency comes July 1, we go out and sign at least one quality defense men to shore up are blue line. Here's looking forward to next year. Have a great summer everyone!( My pick to win the cup is Buffalo.)

Yes it was good to see a win to end the season even better that the worst beat the first place team..
I also think Hatch needs to go cuz he has the smarts but he just can't keep up with the new style!!
It would be nice to see the playoffs next year..
I agree with FlyersFaithful37 Buffalo to win the cup!

I Agree Hatch does need to go! I just don't see it happening. I keep hearing that the coaching staff thinks he's thier best d-man this year. I wonder if they were watching the same games I was? I begining to think that maybe Stevens is not the best coach for this team. Either that or they need some new asst. coaches. I still don't know why they brought Berube up from the Phamtoms coaching staff when he really had no real coaching experiance. I also don't like Terry Murray's coaching of the defense. Ever since they brought him back into the coaching ranks are defense has been one of the worst in the league. Send him back to scouting.

I agree Hatch needs to go! The coaching staff how ever praised him today and said he was probably tier best defensemen this year. I almost lost my lunch when I heard this. Did they see the same games I did? If hatcher is are best d-man, then I'm really scared about next year. Maybe Stevens needs to go back down and coach the Phamtoms, because I think he's lost a screw.

I guess because he was -24 and Pit was -25 for the season makes Hatch the best d-man.. Not even close with these numbers.. I mean these two watch goals go in!! all the time..
But I have a feeling that if they were to get rid og Pit then he would be a superstar like other players they have traded away over the past few years.

TE]I really hope they don't get rid of Pinky. He might improve next season, or maybe not. Hatch on the other hand must go! He can't keep up with anyone and he is always taking himself out of plays looking for that big hit. I would think that they {The Flyers} can see how bad thier defense was this past year. Hopefully they sign a quality defense-men this summer. I don't know who is an UFA, but I'm sure there must be someone they can pickup. They really missed Handzus this year and his backchecking and defense first mentality. Guess wait and see what unfolds over the summer.

I'll agree with one thing here... I don't think Stevens is the right choice for the Flyers. I was sad to see Hitch go. The players may not have liked him, but he was good. The Flyers organization ( Ed Snyder ) needs to spend some real money and get a quality coach with experience to lead the team.

Kind of like Calder. He the the same amount of points racked up right now w/ the Wings as he did all season with the Flyers. What a waste. That Handzus trade may have been one of Clarkie's dumbest moves.
