Wow, you guys are idiots. You know nothing about hockey. I have watched Scottie play my whole life. The man isn't a goal scoring center, but he is one of the best set up men in hockey. His assist and point totals prove that. Yes his numbers are down from the last two seasons, but any player can have a couple off years. The guy would be perfect captain material, he's always smiling, and from the times that I have met him he's a nice guy and good man to wear the C. As for Montreal, is that the best fit for him, no probably not. I wish he played for my Flyers but I don't think they would have enough cap space. Like any stupid New York team, the Rangers always want the biggest shining stars on there team, and always want to push the cap to the very limit, and yet the go no where. When I am talking about New Yorkers, I mean sports fans. Yes I supported Scottie when he was at the Rangers, and Brandon Dubinsky, but I just can't stand New York sports fans. I am sorry but nobody turns on their players and are more annoying than New York sports fans. I really didn't think Gomez was that bad on the Rangers, but the guy was not captain material. He joked around during interviews as if losses and his poor play were not a big deal.
