Full story: BleacherReport

Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Great, Scott Gomez spent two seasons playing in New York and they definitely weren't the greatest years of his career.

Gomez WAS for all practical purposes the Captain in NY and he has the talent, charisma, and personality for it. He is a born leader, loved by his teammates, and great with the press.

Gomez was and acted like a clown when interviewed by the N.Y. press. On ice he did not have the leadership qualities of a captain and slacked off instead of playing hard every night.I say good riddence because Gaborik will play hard and score a lot of goals for the Rangers. The Rangers need a new captain---not dreary Drury.Lets go Rangers

lol

good one

now that it has been established how bad Montreal is...I may have to start cheering for the Rangers...If I want to retain any dignity that is...it's sooo humiliating watching the HABS LOSE nite after nite and seeing stuff Like PRICE and Gill et al.

In the case of Crrey Price, the entire city of MOntreal is being held hostage by what is CLEARLY A JR. B GOALIE AT BEST !!!

seeing him with his new paint job helmets that cost 100k or whatever obscene atmount of Money he paid makes me SICK.

DO SOMETHING FOR THIS TEAM FIRST SUPERSTAR !!!

AND THE BEST PART IS AT 2-5 NOW BOTH JACQUES MARTIN AND BOB GAINEY ARE IN COMPLETE DENIAL AS IF THIS TEAM IS GOING TO ALL OF THE SUDDEN START WINNING HOCKEY GAMES !!!

and the debacle that is GOALTENDER COACHING is beyond any belief.

I mean if I were that guy right now the instruction would be so simple even a COMPLETE RETARD like Price would be able to undestand it.

STAND IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FUCKING NET WITH YOUR 2 ARMS TO YOUR SIDES AND DO NOT MOVE FOR THE NEXT 60 MINUTES OF PAY...THE WAY YOU SUCK IS SO TERRIBLE, THAT IF YOU JUST STAND THERE LIKE THIS FOR THE ENTIRE GAME WE HAVE A BETTER CHANCE OF YOU STOPPING SOME PUCKS THEN WHEN YOU DO ANYTING ELSE

JUST STAND IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NET STANDING UP AND DON'T FUVCKING MOVE YOU FUCKING RETARD !!!

IF AFTER SEEING THAT GAME LAST NIGHT ANYONE OUT THERE ACTUALLY STILL BELIEVES IN THE POTENTIAL SUCCESS OF CARREY PRICE THEN THEY DESERVE FOR THEIR TEAM TOP BE LOSING

IT IS 100% INCOMPETENCE AND OR BLIND NEGLIGENCE AT THIS POINT THAT THIS GUY IS EVEN PLAYING AT ALL !!!

HE JUST PLAIN DOES NOT BELONG !!!

LARAQUE CANNOT SKATE AND IS INIFECTIVE IN EVERYTHING HE DOES, YET THERE WERE THE FRANCOPHONE FANS CHEERING THIS USELSS PIECE OF CRAP FOR WHAT LAST NIGHT?...FOR KEEPING THE PUCK ON THE BOARDS AND DOING NOTHING ???

IT IREALY IS INCREDIBLE HOW NOT ONLY IS THE MGMT OF THIS TEAM MENTALLY CHALLENGED BUT IT'S ENTIRE ANGLOPHONE & FRANCOPHONE FAN BASES ARE OUT TO FUCKING LUNCH !!!

I agree with you Spartacus---The Habs and Leafs suck with each organization in turmoil---What I want to know is when will the fans let management know that they want a real change---or will management turn a deaf ear?

Wow, you guys are idiots. You know nothing about hockey. I have watched Scottie play my whole life. The man isn't a goal scoring center, but he is one of the best set up men in hockey. His assist and point totals prove that. Yes his numbers are down from the last two seasons, but any player can have a couple off years. The guy would be perfect captain material, he's always smiling, and from the times that I have met him he's a nice guy and good man to wear the C. As for Montreal, is that the best fit for him, no probably not. I wish he played for my Flyers but I don't think they would have enough cap space. I think the Rangers did make a good move by grabbing Gaborik, but will that last? Like any stupid New York team, the Rangers always want the biggest shining stars on there team, and always want to push the cap to the very limit, and yet the go no where. I don't hate to say it but I think it will be my Flyers in the cup this year, or it could be the Pens again. You can't hate on a good player like Scottie, but then again if you are a New York fan, you are rabid to bash on anyone that isn't NY even if they did play for you. I bet you talked shit about Messier too, when he had that brief stint in Vancouver. Tards. You know the one question I ask New Yorkers when they come up to Alaska to visit? Oh, you are from NY? When are you going back? Ha ha ha!

When I am talking about New Yorkers, I mean sports fans. Yes I supported Scottie when he was at the Rangers, and Brandon Dubinsky, but I just can't stand New York sports fans. I am sorry but nobody turns on their players and are more annoying than New York sports fans. I have seen a ton of Rangers games when they are the visiting team and there is always some asshole in a Rangers jearsy going, LETS GO RANGERS, all fucking game. It's like, dude there are rangers fans in Vancouver, really? But I like reading what Jeane and Lisa wrote, it gives me hope that not all NY fans are bad... just most of them. I have just been reading a lot of shit talking online about Scottie and he is like our State's treasure dude. Not too many pro's come from our state and he has been so good to this state. Both times he won the cup he brought it back here, he comes back quite a bit, whereas guys like Carlos Boozer, or Mark Shlereth only come back once in a blue moon if at all. But Scottie and most of the other hockey pro's give a shit about AK, and that is tight. So, to fix my last post, if you are a good Rangers fan, don't hate on Scottie Gomez, you will be missing him setting up guys with sick passes so they can get all the glory. If you do, well, you are just not that bright.

I really didn't think Gomez was that bad on the Rangers, but the guy was not captain material. He joked around during interviews as if losses and his poor play were not a big deal.

As for setup men, here are some that eclipse Scottie:
Thornton
Datsyuk
Crosby
Spezza
Savard
Malkin
Getzlaf

Is it really necessary to curse every time you post a comment. You calling out someone because they used the word "tard" and then cursing and then blabbing about inane stuff that no one cares about really doesn't reflect well on yourself.

Im guessing you're one of those people who rioted when Montreal beat Boston in the first round 2 years ago.

THE ANSWER IS YES YOU FUCKING DELI-BOY ARAB FUCKING MORON.

GO PUT YOUR FUCKING TURBAN BACK ON AND GET OVER TO THAT STADIUM FOR THE LIVE EXECUTIONS OF WOMEN AND CHILDREN.

YOU HAVE NO CLUE WHAT YOUR TALING ABOUT AND CAME INTO AN EXISITNG DISCUSSION WITH YOUR SKANKED HEAD UP YOUR SKANKED ASS, AKLONG WITH THE FACTS!!!

AND THE FACTS ARE ALL THAT MATTERS

GOMEZ IS THE FURTHEST FUCKIGN THUING FROM A MCAPTAIN RIGHT NIOW AND NEEDS TO FOCUS ON HIS 100% COMPLETELY SUB POAR PERFORMANCE UP TO THIS POINT IN THE SEASON.

DO YOU GET IT YET?

RIOTS IN THE STREETS IF MONTREAl 6 years ago HAVE NIOTHNG TO DO WITH GOMEZ'S NON ABILITY AT THIS TIME TO CAPTAIN ANYTHING, AND LASTLY SINCE YOU MUST KNOW, DURING THAT PERIOD IN QUESTION I PERSOANLY VOLUNTEERED MY SERVIES TO THE MUC POLICE DEPT. AND HELPED THEM ARREST OVER 12 PEOPLE DURING THAT RIOT.

DO YOU GET IT NOW ?

Wow, sounds like you need a valium. Are you one of those parents who'll beat up their kids coach if they don't get them quality ice time?

I guess you don't remember when Montreal (#8 seed 3) beat Boston 2-3 years ago and there was rioting. How convenient.

I guess civil conversation is impossible with you.
