1st of all Jean Beliveau was TEN TIMEs THE PLAYER GRETZKY WAS and had they played against eachother Gretzky would have lasted about 7 seconds before knocked on his ASS !!!

Hey sparty I know where you are coming from because I grew up watching the same thing that you are talking about,but you only have to watch them old games on espn and you will notice that its a different ,faster more skilled game today compared to yesteryear ! And the goaltending today makes our past heroes look like unmoveable pieces of plywood...
