I was a huge fan of Glen Sather's GM skills at Edmonton. And I raved when the Rangers signed him as GM in 2000, hoping he would bring his eye for high value talent to the Rangers. But by now, it should be clear the game passed him by long ago. He's had a huge checkbook and the advantage of MSG, and has managed to do exactly nothing with the Rangers. Eric Lindros? Pavel Bure? Bobby Holik? Markus Naslund? Scott Gomez? All of them players past their prime, or who just didn't fit. His latest brainstrorm? Allow Colton Orr to leave and get Donald Brashier for even more money? I like Brashier (when he's not cheap-shot hitting Blair Betts), but Orr was a responsible player who was more physically durable than Brashier and who was similarly intimidating. The Rangers are not likely to go anywhere until the Dolans cut their losses and allow Sather, a deserving Hall of Fame coach based on his Edmonton resume, to move on.

No way do I want Sather gone.....he's too valuable to non-Rag fans. The Dolans don't care about hockey and I hope they keep it that way. Just leave Sather at the helm and let it be.....
