The guy who wrote the above article is a BIG JERK. Dubi was blindsided by a player leaving the bench too early--and Cally stepped in to let this player know that this was a cheap hit---thats it end of story.

My apologies but there is one mistake in my post above in reference to an interference penalty and it should have read... "interference can only occur if he doesn't". I forgot the "n't".

LOL.

and here's an even nicer way of saying it...

Anyone that says he left the bench early is lying outright, has their facts wrong, or is deliberately speaking with a preconceived agenda of incorrectness and wrongfullness go LOOK AT THE TAPE...PROPERLY ! The Hit was shoulder to shoulder and as clean as they get AND THE BEST PART ABOUT ALL OF THIS...Is this...Sean Avery almost had his entire career and life destroyed DELIBERATELY by the NHL, it's officials, and it's head office, for saying the words, "sloppy seconds" to a reporter in his dressing room, for that the NHL went on all out attack and made no bones about what they were doing to this man, their intent was purely "power tripping evil" at best...and for what?...for telling the truth...in 2 words...off the ice? But for almost taking Marc Savard's head almost clean off MATT COOKE gets no supplemental penalty or suspension or fine, and the NHL's corrupt head office goes on national television and trys to cram the biggest scam in Hockey history down everyone's throats that Cooke never hit him wiht his elbow or in the head when the tape...GO LOOK AT THE TAPE...clearly shows that this is exactly what happened. There was NO leaving the bench early last night, there was no interference, what there was, was one of the single worst officiated hockey games this league has ever known. The saddest part was that 4 Rangers jumped the wrong guy initiated a brawl and 2 seprate fights and the end result was a pathetic and obvioiusly incompetent or corrupt group of officials completely threw this game and it looked quite frankly like it was deliberate. Either way it was massive incompetence at best, the article is DEAD BANG ON THE MONEY, AND THERE IS OBVIOUSLY A SERIOUS AND CONTINUALLY ON GOING BIG TIME MESSED UP PROBLEM WITH THE NHL'S GOVERNANCE OVER IT'S OWN GAMES.

Things are really getting out of hand when officials dont know what a real penalty is, a check and or boarding. This game will change pretty soon where no checking or fighting will be allowed to protect the players especially stars like Crosby, Kovalchuck etc. Then what will we have a Swedish league with speed, no checking, little fighting and fast skating. What a shame --The powers that be a ruining Hockey. Bring back the old days of rough and tumble hockey. Get the officials re-educated and let the players PLAY.

the best is the 12 year thing...every year for 12 years now Toronto = least penalized team, Montreal = Most penalized team, if that doesn't speak volumes about a serious ass problem with the integrity of the refereeing I don't think anything else is ever going to or get the league to acknowledge there even is a problem.

For the past 10 years at least now the officiating in the NHL has been at a sub-par level at best as for as competency goes.

In the past 8 years there has been a significant increase in the amount of injurys, head shots, and lack of diciplinary action after the fact.

For the past 6 years it seems almost every single ruling on suspensions has been poorly thought out.

For the past 4 years the referees have been demanding more money.,

For the past 2 years Collin Campbell was head of Officiating in the league and worked under a completely illegal cloud of conflict of interest because his son is a member of the Boston Bruin teams he was ruling on, then he gets caught red handed when dozens of emails surface that prove his rulings are biased and in favor of his sons team by his own admission and he is forced to resign, only to be appointed VP of Hockey Operations for The League.

For this past month, in game after game after game involving Montreal, there have been mystifying calls that defy not just logic, but any rational explanation from the league or it's head office as to how they were even deemed penaltys to begin with.

And the dysfunctional Beat Goes On In The NHL.

What did Dubinsky expect??
For christ sake your making millions a year and its part of the game!!!!
There like babies cry cry cry.
The only penalty that should of been called should of been against Callahan. What a f^ucking idiot. your player got hit....except it and move on...
Absolutely no need to go after the Montreal guy.

I will tell you whats ruining this game...to many million dollar babies...
Now if its a head shot sure....pound the piss right out of him....but a clean hit and the opposition team acts like that, then they should receive a 2 min penalty.

Everyones so freakin tough when you know you have 4 guys behind you!!!
I love watching fights dont get me wrong....but dont go after a guy after he just made a clean hit.
