He hasn't in the past, and certainly won't now. Our "defense" which was good this year is going to be down to Ballard and McCabe.. Allen will be back, but will probably break a nail and be gone for the season. As far as offense, mmm let's see. We have Wise, Frolik, and if they sign Booth, than Booth.. Horton and Olesz are overpaid 3rd liners at best. Repik will be ready, but it seem Mathias took a step back this year. That's really it for offense. Andy will be gone, Bouwmeester is gone.. we are in WAY worst shape than last year, the problem is JM, his tradition of doing nothing will give us a much weaker team this year. Bouwmeester's position will not be filled, like Jokinen's wasn't and Luongo's wasn't... perpetual mediocrity. Besides, Cohen is trying to merge the company with new investors, and won't spend money right now, because it may "sour the deal". Let's enjoy tying the record next year for the longest playoff-less drought You are not a "true fan". You know nothing about hockey. You're an idiot. We just won a playoff series in 1996! Mr Cohen, I pledge my never-ending loyalty as a true fan (rube)..... and where do I send my check? Keep those free t-shirts coming over the glass from the awesome panther patrol! Give AC & JM a chance...... We are a couple of moves away! This season was a success!

Have you been following Cohens attempts to build the complex with assistance from the county? They may try to build the complex, but it won't likely happen with funds from the county. Don't know if you are paying attention to it, but Broward County is falling into a deep financial hole. Hardest hit is the Broward County School District budget, which is causing teacher layoffs. They are talking about some school closings, cutting high school to just 4 days per week, etc. I don't think taxpayers are going to agree to fund any projects of this sort for quite a while.

You know that I hold you in high esteem as I do all Irvinians. I do not wish to digress on your pondersous repeat comments, as they bore me on this wonderful day. Rather, I ask you, how has your prediction gone for the Standley cup finals? I had predicted it would be Detroit and Boston, and who again did you predict???

Salary cap maybe a non issue if the guys upstairs decide to end the 8 year joke. Last season you knew they were not serious when they started the playoff ads campaign. The damage was done by Martin signing long terms contracts for dead wood. Some changes need to be made and a Martin departure would be the best. New management would try to trade Horton and/or Olesz shake things seriously like it was done last year with the Ollie trade.

If you keep trading your non productive enough players the message for the rest of the team has a meaning, the crap in the ads for public consumption must have a limit.

The quote from a Broward County official in a related story today says it all: "A special taxing district around the arena would generate tax dollars for the project. Broward County Administrator Bertha Henry said the county, is looking at hiring a consultant to help review the City of Oz proposal and ensure county taxpayers are protected." "There is so much up in the air on this," Henry said, adding that the county isn't opposed "as long as they're not asking the taxpayers to participate."

Good Morning my delusional Rah-Rah Alan Cohen apologist friend. 1st off – I hope you are enjoying the playoffs as much as I am. We can agree, they are awesome! Now, way to go out on a limb: You had the #1 seed in the East; & the defending Stanley Cup Champion #2 seed in the West. Your NBA Finals prediction: Lakers–Cavs These were my NHL predictions: 1. Panthers would miss the playoffs for the 9th strait year (they did). 2. Let Jaybo leave w/o compensation to avoid adding salary (they did). 3. Zed would be gone (he is). 4. The Panther Patrol would shoot lot’s free t-shirts over the glass (they did) 5. Goldy would give the Panthers even less credibility than they already had (he did). 6. Dolphins, Marlins & Heat would all behave like winning organizations (they have) 7. Lightning, Hurricanes & Ducks would win a Stanley Cup before Panthers make playoffs.(they have) 7a. Bonus Prediction: Lightning will make playoffs again before Panthers. 8. The last remaining 466 delusional rah-rah’s would renew their Panther season tickets, believing they are "a couple of moves away". (they have). 9. Alan Cohen would surpass Donald Sterling (Clippers) as the worst owner in sports (he has). 10. Wash-SJ Finals. 9 out of 10. Not Bad

Most of the delusional Rah Rahs need 98cents to make a dollar.. They do not spend a dime on the team.. They are just ignorant Rah Rahs.. However they are very good at mooching tickets and getting free bees..

Not so hockey saavy, now are you, young Irvinian? You do have a great deal to learn about this game which you so fervently post and about which you have so very much to learn. Simply stick with Louie, and you will be on your path to hockey knowledge my leftist friend. But I do agree with you that the playoffs are truly phenominal. I loved the way that Carolina beat the Devils in the last few moments of game 7. There has been some terrific hockey played during these playoffs, and much more to come. So while I disagree with your # 1 to # 9, and accept your failure on # 10, I join you in watching the NHL playoffs---the best playoffs in any sport without a doubt.
