Just what the Dr ordered after last night's 2nd period meltdown. Our goaltending situation scares me.

Jack, at least you've lived to see your team raise the cup...more times than I can believe.

I grew up in Chicago where our battle cry is "Just wait till next year!"

Thanks for chiming in, my friend.

I want the squad to get the first-round draft pick in order to, hopefully, right the ship but, they're just so freakin' brutal to watch we should get the top three picks.

Sometimes you need that rock-bottom finish for the prized draft pick...Hawks finished 14th in the conference then 13th...a couple years later and some decent moves by management has them looking OK. Their goalie situation scares me however.

The thing is,'management' is what the sOilers sorley lack.
Hopefully today, before the trade deadline, the Hawks will have Marty Turco.

No goalie trade...in fact no deals for the Hawks.

One bright note for Edmonton, Dubnyk stopped 42 shots for the Oilers...playing with a group of AHL callup defensmen. He kept them in the game until the wheels fell off in the 3rd.

Chicago played well for 15 minutes in the third and, these days, that is all it takes to beat the sOilers.

Which goalie would you prefer between the pipes, Huet or Niemi?

Tough to say at this point, but I'm inclined to say Niemi...but he may still be a year away from being the goods.

The Hawks need to win now, with this line-up. A year from now maybe too late if the salary cap forces a lot of player movement in the off-season.
Believe! In Toews we trust.

Agreed 100%....It's a do-or-die season. I hear the Canadian press is loving Toews since the games, per my friends from north of the border.

I think that since he plays in a US city, more Canadians are just realizing now how good he really is.

Right now, I'd say he is probably among the top five forwards in the world, including ovie-chicken and Sid but, I am biased as I am from Winnipeg and have some folks named Toews as cousins!

Go Hawks!
