Hi - Oiler fan here - thanks for your article about MacT. I am happy to know how he is doing other than his role on TSN. I feel his time was done as coach of the Oilers as much for his sanity as for the fact that a change was needed. He is a very smart man and I have a lot of respect for him.

However, your article has done a bit of a dis-service to Dwayne Roloson by stating that by the end of his last season with the Oilers he had been relegated to the status of a backup goalie.

Roli played 3 more seasons with the Oilers after the cup run and although he did lose his starter status during 07/08 (year 2), he battled back in 08/09, the final year of his contract, to re-take his starting role from Mathieu Garon, playing 63 games, including 36 straight. He had a 2.77GAA and a very strong .915 sv%. Without his strong play in nets last season the Oilers would have been battling for last spot in the league. He stole several games for them and most nights was the only player giving 100%.

Just thought I would point that out.

Good observation on Roli.
