The Red Wings 13 in power rankings? Have you watched the NHL in the past 20 years?

SportsNet.ca has them ranked at 19: http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/2009/10/19/wee...

TSN.ca has them at 23rd: http://www.tsn.ca/fantasy_news/feature/...

These ranking are about this year, not the last 20 seasons. DET is currently 11th in the Western conference standings, playing .500 hockey.

A 13th ranking is being generous, I believe.

Have you watched the Red Wings this year? Past years performance does not mean squat. They are 3-3-1 and sit 11th in the West. 13 in the rankings is generous.

Strange, ESPN had the Jackets at 4 too. Don't get me wrong, it has been amazing watching these guys, but the last game was a mess for almost two periods and it seems like their confidence is a big issue, like last year. I'm wondering whether the momentum will turn the other way once they lose a few.
