Even with two months left in the season, we will know where this team is at come March first. This is our toughest test, and if they want to win fans over, they need to compete in this upcoming five game homestand. But first, lets take care of business tonight in Carolina. They have some players injured, and we need to take advantage of that.

The only way they win tonight is if they play a solid 60 minutes.

The next set of games is going to be next to impossible for our team.I would feel differently if we had more shooting/puck handling talent but we dont.I think best case scenario is getting 1/2 of the next 20 pts available and that would keep us 9th and out of a playoff spot.I am hoping like everyone else but our goaltending must be flawless and I just dont think Vokoun is that good.

It's all fine and good that they know they can come back, but that's not the way to play. Going into Carolina they should play fast, play solid D, and watch out for the refs (CAR is 4th in the league in power plays awarded, the Cats 28th).

You're right JimH. Since we are playing the dive team tonight we'll have to watch the refs.
Unlike other years, at least this team is capable of delivering 60 minutes of good energy (still a bit inconsistent).

NHL Network showed some of the 3rd period Tuesday night vs Toronto.

Saw Panthers 3rd goal....
Great OT win....

They showed the BAC crowd cheering.

Every other row of seats completely empty..... what's the deal?

Maybe the market can't support an NHL team due to its disinterest which has been the case since well before the economy went into the crapper?

Typical Canadian stupidity. Keep spewing your hate for the Florida team. There's plenty of interest in Panther hockey. It's been explained many times here, if you don't know why many Panther fans will not go to games like they have in the past..then you don't need to know. we know why, and some of us have chosen to support the team anyway. Some spend their sports dollar here only if it's a continuing winning product with proven RELIABLE management. I can't really fault someone who demands "Show me first"...

Edmonton? If I lived there..yeah I'd buy a full season package EVERY year. What the hell else would I do there? Count the fat women?

Just not plenty of interest in Panthers hockey to fill the seats, right? Those aren't fans who tout the show me first attitude. Those are called bandwagon jumpers. They will not sustain a franchise over the long haul.

The Panthers will fill the stands when they get back on the map via a playoff appearance. Everyone loves a winner and the Panthers had a long sellout string at the (admittedly smaller) Miami Arena back in '97. If the Panthers capture the local imagination like the Dolphins did this year, attendance will reflect it.

Let's hope ownership realizes that wins sells tickets rather than making the ends meet by spamming advertisements on every visible surface in the BAC.
