Tim - Hockey Rules wrote: Paul I was at the game, not that anyone would be surprised. I saw the hit that Ott had on Sharp and it did not look clean at all. The only good thing that came out of that was it made the Hawks mad and they outworked the Stars in every aspect. I loved how Keith took the puck away from Modano a few times and really showed him how much better he is than Modano thought. Wiz and Buff both played and you knew they were out there last night. So the question is who are they going to recall from Rockford since Sharp is not going on the trip. Maybe we will see Skille back. Who ever it is I really hope they help the Hawks get 6 out of 6 points this trip. Great game by the Hawks and the fans were really in the game Tim we got one of the Hawks games recently on HNIC and the commentators couldn't say enough good things about Keith. They feel he is a lock to make Team Canada for the 2010 olympics. I have got to agree he is one of the best D-Men in the NHL this year.Hockey players have a long memory and Ott will be sorted out in a Hawks-Stars game either this year or maybe even next but he will pay the price. What do think on Kane. Personally I am schocked at his slump the guy has so much talent but he almost seems to be snake bit this year. I think it is starting to play with his head, kaner needs a go two or three goal game to help get his confidnese back.

Truly disappointing. Could not agree more strongly w Pete- I was furious this morning to see them on page 9 with the lousy bulls on the front page, Paxson and Rose notwithstanding. Page 9??? That is outrageous!!!!

Although there is nothing in the Trib--no surprise there--the Chicago Herald is saying Sharp has an MRI scheduled Monday, and it looks like the injury might not be as bad as first thought..........not a lot, but at least it's optimistic.

For the first time all year, I was embarrased by many of my fellow 300 level fans. Whoever's idea it was to start "the wave" needs a bullet right between the eyes. Even lame-ass Cubs fans at Wrigley know better. My section, good old 331, stop the wave several times but some of the weaker people in the section started to cave under the pressure of numerous attempts. THIS MUST STOP NOW!

I think that Kane is trying way too hard to score a goal. If you are in a slump then you have to get back to the basics not try as hard as possible to stop the slump.

Nice game last night, they really worked hard and made Dallas look really slow. One interesting point the Stars commentator made was that the Hawks' D get a lot of slap shots from the point blocked or miss the net by a wide margin. Some times they would be better served to just get a quick snap shot to the net for deflections and rebounds like Chelios used to to do.

Kane needs to take tips from Toews on roofing the puck from in tight.

Guys, if Tallon can't see that he needs to aquire a 'hired gun' or two, to protect his skilled players - even if 'Q' only dresses them when we play the Blues, then we should start calling him 'PULLY'. It began last season, the Blues, in particular Jackman and Jansen, run the Hawks skilled players non-stop, along with the non-stop face wash. If one of them gets hurt )like the Sharp hit) then it's on him. Enough. If it wasn't for Walker and his physical play, we'd only have a couple of middle weights that are willing. I've seen enough of this 'team toughness'. And, what in God's name inspired 'Q' to sit Wiz and Buff for the Blues game? Two of our more physical players, playing a team we KNOW we take cheap runs. Come on Dale, time to open up a can of whoop a**.
