Herbies, you're an idiot. He was there. Got a LOT of shots on goal. Yes, Theodore stopped them. In case you hadn't noticed, Theodore is stopping MOST of them. He's a good goalie.

Gabby is doing what a captain does. He's supporting and enabling others to take the shots when they have a better chance, not trying to grab all the glory for himself. He's playing on a TEAM.

Our goons need to step up and protect the guy. After he gets man handled by the Avs our guys stand there and watch because they are afraid of getting a penalty. I guarantee that if we did that to Sakic, their goons would step up and do something about it. We still owe Leperierre from the reg season. What happened to that? Can't let that stuff go on. If anyone touched Gretzky, Crosby, Ovechkin, they would get hurt bad. Why not Gaborik? Not saying he is that caliber, but he is our star. Take the penalty and let them know it is not O.K. and it won't happen again. FIGHT man!

"Our goons need to step up and protect the "

Your goons need to be scratched and real players on the bench taking their place. The playoffs are all about chippy-on-the-edge tactics and hits.....and not reacting to them. Just because Lemaire plays 3 boneheads doesn't mean anyone from the other team has to fight them.

You can bet the AV's really like seeing those three guys on the ice, because they know it means Lemaire is really only playing 3 lines. You think people are scared of these guys, while the reality is that haveing 3 non-players suiting up is always going to benefit the opponent. In this case, the Avs.

You guys went to HOCKEY School last night. You may have a bunch of players with lots of testosterone but the talent is here in COLORADO. You can trust that it was a total fluke that the wild rank 3rd. Cya Thursday night for another beat down DENVER STYLE.... :) ):

Thankgod you have tough guys like Mcleod. That guy is a joke! I love watching the Avs cower when someone who poses any threat or isn't five inches shorter than them approaches. Silly silly cowards.

Yep we'll see about school tomorrow night. It seems all anyone from Colorado can do... players, coaches, fans, and sports writers is just spout off at the mouth. When the fight comes to you you run and hide. That's not championship material, that's cowardly play! We'll just put the Aves in the category of Avery for the Rangers! In the end the best hockey players will win the series. Which will be the Wild! Unfortunately for the Aves they just woke a sleeping giant! Confucius say... Sakic and Fallsberg time to dust off golf cart!

The thing that sucks is the AVs were classy, saying they understood why the Wild were so chippy last night and they would probably react the same way. The noise comes from some bonehead fans and that d-bag writer from the post that apparently used to cover the Ice Capades and wrote about the beautiful skating he wishes he was watching. They think the rough play will end if the AVs advance! I'm pretty sure Calgary and Anaheim will feel OK putting a hard check on Forberg and seeing if they can break his replacement hip. The writer made it sound like they could skate with Detriot if everybody would just stop pushing them around...but it just gets rougher from here, boys.

Yeah our offensive output drops when our "goons" are on the ice. How many assists does Fedoruk have this series again? Hasn't he been sending a lot of passes to the front of the net? That's right, you aren't really watching the entire game and only have blinders on your wussy boys(i.e. Mcleod) that constantly yap their mouths when the refs are in the way or in the penalty box, or when our guys is smaller than they are. Other than that, they are making a break to the bench as quick as possible or falling to the prone position to avoid being hit, by the likes of Boogard, Simon and Voros.

We went to school last night? Your first 3 goals happened because of turnovers in our zone(stupid passes that should not have been made or atempted), it wasn't really what you guys did to create that. Your team definitely doesn't have any testosterone, they talk all they want, but hide behind the refs and bench when it's time to pay up for cheap hits on our skill players. At least our guy stepped up to Laperierre for hitting Smyth, when Lawussy boy can't step up for what he did to Gaborik in the last game of the season. Don't even get me started on Mcleod, he is the biggest wuss there is, going after Nummelin who is the smallest guy on the ice. Wow, is he really a hockey player or a figure skater trying to be tough?

We'll see you Thursday, but don't expect the same result, it's back in front of the team of 18,000 and we are more than happy to help our team. Go Wild

You are an ignorant and an idiot. Way to go!

Let's hope Lemaire keeps playing the three boneheads so the Ignorant and Idiotic are duly entertained. Please keep Boogaard, Fedoruk and Simon eating up bench space and producing practically nothing on the ice. The Avs wouldn't want it any other way, nor would an Avs fan.

Reading this forum makes it hard to believe anyone in St Paul knows anything about hockey, but that would be tainting the knowledgable Wild fans with the stench of the Ignorant and Idiotic.

Isn't it funny that we don't hear from the CO boys for a while, but as soon as they win, they come back and say their team is so great and will be the champs. We'll shut them up again after Thursday, then just send them packing on their ice just like we did in 2003.

Don't you think Avs fans, whose team has made the WCF 5 times and won the Cup twice, would know a little more about that than a Wild fan whose team got to the WCF once and died there?

I love how these CO morons come on and talk about how terrible our team is. Goons, etc. And yet we've scored two shorthanded goals. You all had the man advantage and STILL gave up a goal. Duh.
And before you start attacking our "goons", you may want to take a look at the idiots you've got playing. Forsberg who takes falls and gets penalties called on us, then laughs his way away, knowing it was faked. And then, when the Wild DO get physical, he hides his ass on the bench the whole 3rd period so he doesn't get hit. Wuss.
Don't get me started on McLeod. He's just an bully who's trying to rule the sandbox, pushing the kindergardners down, then hides when the big brother shows up. I'm proud of Boogey and Voros and Sheppard. They WILL repay unneeded checks against the smaller guys. Good for them!
I can't wait to see how the game goes when we get back to MN and have fair refereeing. Even the commentators said they couldn't see all the penalties last night and that they were obviously biased.
Keep in mind...the Avs had a million power plays in the 3rd period, but couldn't score on a SINGLE ONE. We scored on their powerplay.
so...Who's the better team, and who are the posers??

If your comment is in refernce to me, then it looks like you up for membership in Ignorant and Idiotic.

I don't know who is gonna win this thing, but I am enjoying the play. I'm just commenting on the hockey experts around here who believe that just because Boogaard is big, and Lemaire puts him in the game, someone from the Avs is required to fight him. From our perpsective it's just great to have the boneheads taking up the Wild's bench space, that better players could be productive from. And it's even better that because no one fights him, a seat on your bench is manned by a guy who plays 2 or 3 minutes a game.

Let me put it this way: wouldn't you rather see Scott Parker on the Avs bench than someone who can actually contribute more than a scowl and glare? No matter how tough Parker is, for the playoffs we need people who can be productive on the 3rd and 4th lines and help on the PK. Parker cannot do that. If he were healthy he would still be a scratch every night in the playoffs. Just as Boogaard and Simon should. Fedoruk....while he is still a bonehead, can conrtibute in ways Simon is too old for and Boogaard never had the skill or knowledge to.

Like I said earlier, Fedoruk has produced with assists and timely passes out in front of the net, if it wasn't for your goaltending we would have a 3-1 lead on you right now. It's obvious that you lack any knowledge about hockey, if you can't see what Simon and Fedoruk have been bringing the last couple of games. Sure Boogard was an idiot last night, and hasn't done much, but that's because ALL of your boys are afraid to face him, instead they cowar when he's on the ice and as soon as he's back on the bench you go after our smaller guys. Again another Avs poster that disapeared the last 2 games, but come back out of the woodwork like they are the greatest when they win again.

We aren't saying someone is required to fight him, but it's your boys(i.e. Mcleod and Laperierre and Foote) who are out on the ice, talking and antagonizing our smaller players and hitting our skill players after the whistles, but as soon as Boogard and Simon come on the ice skate off or hide behind the refs like a little girl. Sure they don't have to fight, but it's the unwritten code of hockey that you should stand up for your actions against the skill players. Our guys do it, like the fight with Laperierre, I forgot who our guy was, but he realized he had to answer for the hit he put on Smythe and didn't back down, even though Voros knew he was smaller and wanted to jump in. Besides, in case you don't know, we have a few injuries so Lemaire options are kind of limited, really the only one he can play to contribute is Pouliot(not sure how to spell it). We'll see what happens on Thursday, my bet is because of the dumb stuff Boogard did, he'll be scratched and Pouliot will play.

There's no argument...of the 3 boneheads Fedoruk has been the most productive. But that's akin to saying compared to the other 2 Stooges Moe was a rocket scientist.

"if it wasn't for your goaltending we would have a 3-1 lead on you right now."

Which is as pertinent as saying if the Wild hadn't scored two goals off skates the Av's would be up 3-1. Except that the Avs goaltending hasn't been lucky. In the case of both goalies the goals scored against them have been either luck or circunmstances where their team failed to defend well enough.

"It's obvious that you lack any knowledge about hockey, if you can't see what Simon and Fedoruk have been bringing the last couple of games."

Sorry, as much as I like him, Simon has sucked. And Fedoruk, while having picked up a point or two hasn't been measurably better.

"Sure Boogard was an idiot last night, and hasn't done much, but that's because ALL of your boys are afraid to face him, instead they cowar when he's on the ice and as soon as he's back on the bench you go after our smaller guys. OK. Beautiful. It's always about big guys wanting to beat up smaller guys. You're like a broken record.

Face it, having Boogaard, Fedoruk and Simon suiting up for the playoffs is a tragic mistake. You are just another one of those mistaken clowns who believe just because Lemaire puts boneheads on the ice, the other team is required to fight them. It's kind of pathetic that you can't see the damage this does to your team, but I guess someone is always stealing your lunch money and this is how you get to feel like a man.

Nah, he has options. In fact he has better options in the AHL than the Avs do, and we are playing 3 guys who just moved up this year because of team injuries. there is no excuse for this pathetic chest pounding Lemaire does.

No one in the NHL gets intimidated, no one, not on your team, on my team, or on any other team and that is why very few can be goaded into a fight they know will not serve their team. Wanting to or not wanting to fight is not the point. The point is that some players can do more than fight, which is why fighting in the playoffs seldom ever happens.

Whatever dirty deeds are done in the playoffs are always worked out in the next regular season....THAT'S the code. In an 82 game season you can afford to hurt your team with fighting penalties, in a 7 game series you cannot.......unless the only thing your bring to the ice is an ability to fight.
